Striving for a Perfect World

Can I Be Perfect?

Kurt Evans
We are all striving for a perfect world. We get mad, sad, and angry when things don't go our way.

Perfect

Since we are all individuals sharing this world with each other, we each have our own idea, of what perfect is. Some of us may think that a perfect world consists of everybody being fed and nobody going hungry. Somebody else might think that a perfect world consists of being able to drive a Mercedes everywhere they go.

Striving For A Perfect World

In life, we are all striving for a perfect world. Sometimes, we have to have some acceptance of the fact, that things aren't perfect. Sometimes, there are things that we need to learn as individuals; before, we can experience perfection.

In A Perfect World

In a perfect world, people would be trying to better themselves for the purpose of being a better person. Competition; would be based on your personal best so that everyone would come out a winner in the end. We would harness the energy from the sun and use solar energy throughout our lives. Science would be based on fact, not theory. There wouldn't be any lying or deceit in this world. Nobody would go on power trips or put down other people to try and make them-selves feel better. Everybody would help each other in times of need and everybody would function as a member of a team, Team Humanity.

The Fact

The fact of the matter is, that we don't live in a perfect world. Members of humanity don't agree on what their interpretation of perfect is. It seems as if, some people have this idea of perfect as an unattainable goal. The thing that keeps people back from perfection is the belief that it's unattainable.

The Unattainable Goal

When people say that being perfect is unattainable, that's just an excuse for not even trying or to quit. I think that the reason that there are so many different ideas of what perfection is; is because no matter what you're doing, there's always room for improvement. I think the idea of perfection being the unattainable goal needs to be thrown out the window.

What Perfection Really Is

This is what perfection really is. Perfection is an idea in a persons mind, and that's it. That's all perfection is. That idea is based on the person's perception. What one person considers perfection, another person won't.

Perfection Is Based On Perception

The next time you find your self, trying to be perfect, cut yourself some slack and enjoy the learning process, remember that perfection is based on perception and not on fact. I think we need to rethink how we go about striving for a perfect world.
