I felt compelled to write about one of their products called Luminex®. I took this product originally because it claims to help improve your mood. It has St. John's Wort in it which aids people who have mild depression. I didn't think I was depressed but thought if this would help me reduce stress, I'd try it. I started taking the supplement as recommended and didn't really think much about it after that. It just became part of my routine to take them.
Before I go any further, I need to let you know that my job is busy. I get at least 50 emails daily and my phone would constantly ring. I tried to be organized but whenever something else came up that was easier or more important, I would tend to start on that and put other things on the back burner even if I was in the middle of working on them. Many days when I was ready to go home, I would start shutting down my computer and find emails that were fully prepared by me and all that I needed to do was press the send button. That was never done because I was always stopping to do something else and forgetting to go back and finish what I was doing. I'd say to myself "No wonder they never responded to my email!" Having said this, read the rest of my story to understand why I'm writing about this supplement.
After two weeks of taking Luminex® daily, it hit me all of a sudden. I was working on something and the phone rang. I answered the phone and when I finished, I immediately went back to what I was working on. That felt different. Then I opened an email that arrived to read it, I responded then returned back to what I was working on. This hit me like a ton of bricks! The realization that I was able to multi-task and not get distracted with what I was working on was wonderful. I knew it immediately. This was a noticeable change for me and I liked it! I called everyone I knew and told them about it. I couldn't believe the effect it had on me in this way. I thought it would only relieve stress for me but instead it helped me sort things in my head so I won't be so scattered brained! This product is priceless for me now. Even though I'm not a representative for Melaleuca, I can always get more on Ebay!
Please note this is not a recommended product for everyone. Someone with diagnosed depression should not take this without consulting their doctor. After raving about this product to my mother, she started taking it and reported back that her ears started ringing. She said it sounded like crickets chirping loudly by her ear. I forgot what the doctor told her this condition was called but she tried it and won't take it any more because of this side effect. If you take it and have side effects that you don't like, stop taking it but I can tell you for me, I love it!
