Stubborn Faith Will Change Things

Csilla Elam
Faith that will not give up!

I became a Christian years ago, yet for some reason, I believe this was the year for me when God started to truly reveal to me who He is. This revelation of His character and Himself is producing in me a stubborn FAITH.

Faith is COURAGE. Again, brother Curry Blake has a great insight here on that. Faith is bold. Faith will go against the tide. Faith is having to courage to say "no" or " yes" until you see things change. So, many of us have fear in our lives. We fear a family member, the police, the world, the economy, and more. Fear is paralyzing us. Yes, we need fear in certain situations. The Bible talks about the fear of the Lord. Other than that I do not see many Scriptures talking about fear except as an element of respect towards authorities. In fact, Revelation 21:8 mentions fear/being a coward as one of the things that will take one to hell. Wow! You thought that only discussing sins take people to hell? Think again. Fear will. Fear of stepping out and stand up for the truth is one that I battle the most with; also, fear of people. I was just asking my pastor for advice yesterday about how should Christians stand up and say to someone, " God spoke to me. I heard Him speak", knowing that they will probably think you hear voices and admit you to the 9th floor. See, the world knows we generally believe that, but if you personally say to someone something like that who doesn't know God, they will worry that you "hear voices" and need some psychiatric treatment. Yet, my pastor had a wise answer and he said, " Csilla, the world believes we are crazy anyway. This is when you decide that you do not need to care what the world thinks". True. Jesus did not care. Why? All He cared about was Father' s opinion. He had courage. Courage can be the difference between saving someone's life or not. Courage can be the defining line between stepping out into your destiny or dying "with potential" and nothing more. Courage can be the difference between living or dying even for you.

Faith is ACTING. Most people who do not have their heart totally consecrated to the Lord misuse and misunderstand what faith really is. I heard people say, " Well, I believe and therefore I am saved based on what Jesus has done", yet their lifestyle doesn't prove it at all. No, they do not believe because faith is a verb; it is action. If you read Hebrews 11, a very popular passage, you will see that it usually says something like this, " Sarah believed, therefore she concieved", " By faith Enoch was taken up", " By faith Abel brought", etc. By faith each of them did something. I am even shocked to read that Enoch was taken BY FAITH. He believed God was going to not let him die and just take him and it happened. Faith doesn't act like the world system. It doesn't worry, but believes God and then acts on what it believes. Are you sick? Pray. Ask God for healing and then act healed. Stop letting satan lie to you. No, I am not asking you to deny reality. No way. I am just saying that you need to say, " Yes, I am sick, but the WORD says that by HIS stripes I WAS healed. Jesus paid for this already. I look into the mirror of God's Word and I see myself there. I am supposed to be healthy. In the Name of Jesus, sickness go! Body I command you be healed!" You can do that because God's Word backs you up and then act healed. I really encourage you to listen to Curry Blake on youtube, or his website listed here under resources to find out more how that works. There is more to it than what I write here, but totally different than what we have been taught in the church for years. It works!

Faith is STUBBORN. Yes, it is. Faith says like Jacob told the angel, " I will not let go until YOU bless me!" Faith says, " God, Your Word says that and I know You do not lie, therefore it will come to passs". For you to believe like that, you really need to settle it in your heart that God's Word IS ALIVE and He cannot lie. He is bound by His Word to fulfill it. It is getting up every morning and looking at your bills and saying, " You said that I should not be a money lover, because NO WAY You will forsake me. No way!" It is using not your words, but His to remind God of His promises and He cannot deny Himself. Another think I want to add here is the power of your words. So many of us pray in our minds, or hearts, or quietly. There is LIFE and DEATH in the tongue. God did not "THINK" the world into existence, but SPOKE it. There is a Kingdom with its own laws and it manifests when we speak it. That is why is so important that we watch what we say. Listen, I am a scientist, but you know what, science has shown the results of praying things out loud and speaking things into existence. It is called Quantum Physics. Brother Blake calls it "Spiritual Physics". Something happens when we are negative and something happens when we are positive. Something happens when we speak faith and something happens when we speak doubt. Energy frequencies around us change. I know I am getting over my head here soon because I am not a physicist. I am a biologist, but I heard this thing about quantum physics and it blew me away.

Faith is stubborn because God cannot lie. Countless testimonies I heard of people stubbornly believing the Word and then things started to change. Jesus said that " When you pray, believe you already RECEIVED, and you SHALL have it". See, when you pray , believe in the Kingdom of the Lord your petition was approved, and THEN you SHALL have it. Where? Here in this kingdom. It is a transfer from a Spiritual Kingdom to a worldly Kingdom. Keep going after it. Do not give your eyes rest until it IS transferred. God loves to see us having faith. In fact Hebrews 11:6 hit me hard just last week, " 'Cause if someone approaches God, he/she MUST believe that HE IS and He REWARDS those who see Him". Does He lie? If you seek Him, He will reward you. There is one more key word in that verse that I left out and that is, " diligently" see Him. He rewards those who diligently seek Him or those who "stubbornly" seek Him. They will NOT give up.

I know we have times in our lives when we are too weak for us to stand up for ouselves in faith and that is why I believe it is so important for us to start making friends that believe like us and are stubborn in their faith, too, so that when you are down, someone can have faith for you. Not all of us are strong all the time, but that is why we need the body. What happens if you have no one to pick you up? It might cost you your life. The small group I meet with regularly at my house and we minister together are becoming people of stubborn faith. We listen to bro. Blake and we go and act on it. God sees our stubborn faith and He acts. I believe that is another law of the Kingdom of God, unity. When 2 or 3 are gathered, HE is there. It is important to pay attention to what Jesus taught us about the Kingdom of Heaven, because it gives us insight how He operates. So many people are frustrated because they do not know the WAYS of God; they do not know HOW to get things to happen because they never took the time to study the laws of the Kingdom of God. It is like gravity. A book will fall each time I drop it. What laws do you know from the KIngdom of God that teach you that something every time? Those are the ways God operates. Instead of getting mad that "Nothing happened!" when you pray, see if you are acting according to the laws of the Kingdom. Do you want a book to fall?( I am speaking figuratively); then "drop it" aka find out what the law of the Kingdom of God requires in order to see things change.

Lately, I started believing in giving more which I have not done so much for months. I finally figured out that God will not give unless I give Him first something; anything. He says, " What do you have here in this world?" " Well, only 2 fish and a loaf of bread". "Ok, bring them to ME.". When He blessed that, then the disciples could give away. You need His blessing on your stuff, but that takes us "bringing" them to Him, and His Kingdom's law says, " If you give, you will be given back". So you choose.
