Stuck Blind in the Darkness, I’ve Lost All My Sight

K. E. Crosby

I no longer know what is wrong, what is right

The heart is a traitor - hurting, lying, and thinking what may

Stuck blind in the darkness, I've lost all my sight

It hesitates at first, snuggles behind the wall, holding on tight

Then it starts to let go, regardless of what you do and you say

I no longer know what is wrong, what is right

The heart then soars and flies, the whole world turns bright

The feeling lasts but a moment, then it wrenches away

Stuck blind in the darkness, I've lost all my sight

It deceives and it lies, tossing and turning into the night

It questions what happened, what it did, how it could stray

I no longer know what is wrong, what is right

The heart then suffers with a pain knowing no height

It stops you from moving, from breathing, losing your way

Stuck blind in the darkness, I've lost all my sight

Don't trust it, don't listen; pretend that it's trite

It will run you nowhere and down further, making you prey

I no longer know what is wrong, what is right

Stuck blind in the darkness, I've lost all my sight
