Student Council Games for School: Live Faculty Challenge

Nicole A.
A live faculty challenge can be one among the most fun student council games for school. This live challenge would be based on the family feud television game show. Students and teachers compete against each other to win prizes in this student council game. Allow students and faculty to sign up and become a player in the challenge. Student Council members will then create two groups to participate in these games for school. Each group will consist of a five players each that represent students or faculty.

Make a list of poll questions that span a variety of categories. Survey the entire student body and teachers at least one month in advance using these poll questions. Student council members will need to tally all responses. Develop trivia questions and answers to be used during this game for school based on these responses. A poll question such as "What would you bring home from a concert?" would likely receive a variety of responses.

As a student council member, it is your job to list the answers in the order of popularity. If 32 responses included "Ticket Stubs" and 17 students or teachers answered with "Photos", tickets would be the number one answer with photographs coming in second place. The live faculty challenge can be played as multiple student council games for school throughout the year or a one-time event. Three rounds and one "fast money round" should be scheduled for this school game. Any team that has earned a majority of points at the end of your third round will move on to their fast money round. Allow only two players from this team to participate in the last round.

Ask each player to answer the same set of five questions within 15-20 seconds. They will have to reach a certain amount of points determined by student council members to win the live challenge. Live faculty challenges are one of many student council games that can be hosted in the school auditorium. Invite the entire student body and faculty to attend this event. Student council members can also turn this into a fundraiser for school if needed.

Create large answer board signs that display survey results. You will also need three signs for incorrect answers. All signs should be large enough for most audience members to read along with players of this game. Student will have to hold up these signs unless the student council can develop another way to display answers effectively. Use at least 5 students for responses and one student for incorrect answers. Video or slide projectors can also be used if you expect a large audience turnout or signs are still too small.
