Students who attend Cameron can look forward to the opportunity to being a part of many campus organizations. There is truly an organization for everyone.
Aggie Ambassadors. The Aggie Ambassadors are a group of students who help to represent Cameron by presenting freshman orientations. They also give campus tours and travel to high schools and visit college fairs to discuss college life. For information on becoming an Aggie Ambassador, call Vanessa Arterberry at (580) 581-5760.
Association of Information Technology Professionals. This organization was developed for students who have an interest in data processing and information technology. Students can meet with IT professionals and tour data processing facilities all while sharing their ideas and talents with others and exploring career opportunities. C.A.D.D. (Design and Drafting). Students involved with C.A.D.D. will be hosts to professional, social, and educational events during the school year in an effort to help promote careers in Computer Aided Design Drafting and Engineering Design. Cameron American Indian Student Association. Oklahoma has a large Native American population and CAISA is involved in promoting greater awareness and understanding of the different Native American cultures on campus. It is open to any student with an interest in Native American culture. For more information on CAISA contact Dr. Johari at (580) 581-2540.
Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Cameron Campus Ministries, and Chi Alpha. Students who are looking for fellowship, spiritual growth, worship, and a Christian atmosphere can find out more about the religious organizations at Cameron by calling Baptist Collegiate Ministries at (580) 353-4197, Cameron Campus Ministries at (580) 581-2885, or Chi Alpha at (580) 581-2246.
Collegians For Environmental Awareness (CLEAN). A focus on Cameron University recycling, Earth Day, and other environmental issues is the cornerstone of this organization. CLEAN also serves as a resource network on issues of the environment for students and faculty of Cameron. Contact Dr. Kurtis Koll at (580) 581-2286 for more information.
Ebony Society. Membership in this organization is open to all Cameron students. The Ebony Society helps to advance and honor the culture of African Americans. Dr. John Morris may be contacted at (580) 581-2329 for further information.
People Respecting Individuality, Diversity, and Equality. (P.R.I.D.E.) This is an organization that provides gays, lesbians, and bisexuals throughout the university and community. Gay-friendly heterosexuals are also welcome. To receive more information on P.R.I.D.E. contact John Batka at (580) 581-2567.
Pro-Life Aggies. This is an organization that helps to provide education and cultivate a understanding of pro-life and abortion issues. Support is offered to women who may be considering an abortion or who have dealt with an abortion in the past. Contact Dr. Lorraine Perry at (580) 581-2854 for more information.
Students of the Caribbean Alliance (SOCA). Many students come to Cameron from the Caribbean. SOCA helps Caribbean students acclimate to life at Cameron while also creating a public awareness of the Caribbean and its people.
In addition to the student groups listed above there are numerous academic societies, honor societies, Greek social organizations, and special interest groups.
Students at Cameron will find any number of groups that will help them to achieve their academic and social goals.
