Egypt
Go east then south through, Israel and Palestine, the cauldron of the middle East to the land of the Pharaohs. Who hasn't heard of King Tutankhamen? View the ancient and modern structures of Cairo, then visit and marvel at the pyramids and the sphinx at Giza. View the majesty of the structures which even now would defy the skill of many architects to design and built using the technology the ancient Egyptians had. Travel south to see more pyramids in Saqqara, Dahshur and Maidum and do not pass up the Valley of the Kings and Queens.
Greece
From Rome travel east to visit Athens and learn about the growth and evolution of the Greek empire. You can see famous sites like Adrian's Library, Acropolis and a host of others.
China
Turn your back to the Nile and head to Far East to visit China. Only becoming known in the past few centuries is undoubtedly the oldest civilizatios that has survived through to the modern day. A visit to China will give the student a view of a great culture whose history can be traced back several thousands of years. The site that must not be missed is the Great Wall, built during the Zhou dynasty to keep the fierce Mongols at bay. Did you know that it is the only man-made structure visible to the naked eye from the moon? You can also learn about Chinese art and architecture.
Italy
Visit the ancient city of Rome to see the beautiful structures some built more than 2 centuries ago. Visit the infamous coliseum where Christians were thrown to the lions and other duels were fought to the death. You also may want to take a side trip to visit the archeological site of the city of Pompeii once buried under the ash of Mount Vesuvius.
Turkey
Keep going east into Turkey, which for many years stood unbeaten against the horde of barbarians bent of bringing down the last remnants of the once might Roman Empire. The multitude of cultures and their fusion will fascinate the student visitor.
Peru
Head in a South Easterly direction to Peru in South America and see the remnants of the ancient civilization of the Inca's. Visit the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, Sacsayhuaman, Pisac and Ollantaytambo and learn of this once great people.
Mexico
Mexico City is the best place to see the Aztec temples and pyramids and some of the centuries old buildings like the Palacio de las Bellas Artes. Another place to see is the Archaeological Site of Monte Albán, where one can find more pyramids, terraces, canals, dams and artificial mounds of Monte Albán which were carved out from the mountain
