Study Abroad This Summer in Limerick, Ireland!

Spend Three Weeks This Summer in Limerick, Ireland with the Study Abroad with AIFS Program

Micheal E. Brinkley
When young, excited high school graduates look towards going to college they look at a variety of things. Not only are they trying to find a great education, but they are also hoping to experience a great time. There's no better way to have the time of your life in college than by spending it in a foreign country. You have the opportunity to learn and understand a new culture, meet interesting new people, and experience life different from what is common to you.

The American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) offers a summer study abroad program for college sophomores, juniors, and seniors. They also accept high school graduates and college freshman on a case-by-case basis. Although AIFS offers a variety of different destinations to choose from, one that really sticks out from the others is Limerick, Ireland and the University of Limerick. Ireland offers a look into a great culture while also offering the fun and exciting college life which students look for. Not only that, but the University of Limerick also offers a quality education to its students!

Many people think that Study Abroad is expensive. On the contrary, spending a summer in Limerick costs about the same as it costs to attend an average university in the United States. The AIFS program fees are only about $6,500 and include tuition, housing, a meal allowance, a visit to London, excursions and cultural activities, airfare if desired, and more. For that cost, you get an amazing trip away from home and school while also getting a good education. After the three weeks is over, you will walk away with many new and exciting memories and three credits from the University of Limerick!

Very cool. I actually spent some time living in Limerick, but with all the recent immigration to the area, things have changed quite a bit.
