If you have yet to start going to a university, are you feeling nervous? If you have already begun, are you not being successful? Mastering college is something that is very hard to do but you can do it if you study the right way. You will learn ten study suggestions for college students.

It is helpful to use the right atmosphere. The first way you can do this is to use a well-lit, quiet room. The second is to read in a place that does not have things such as a television set.

It is important to know how to spend your time studying. I discovered it is best to devote more time to going over your textbooks than the notes you take in class. You should be okay if you spend about half an hour reading your books for each course almost every day while mainly going over your notes close to test time.

Cramming is one of the most effective methods. You should go over all of your notes the last two or three nights before a test. It is better to study at night before going to bed than during the day time because you might have to deal with a lot of events that can take your mind off what you have just read during the day time.

It is wise to hold your books the right way. You should hold them up instead of flat to make it harder for your eyes to shift toward the sentences you have already read.

It is vital to use your books properly. The first way to do this is to mostly focus on reading the first two or three sentences of each paragraph. The second is to highlight or take notes on the most important points. The third is to read each caption and chapter summary. The fourth is to answer the questions at the end of each chapter.

It is sometimes necessary to work with others. The first way you can do this is to study with classmates. The second is to get tutoring. The third is to seek others' help.

Using repetition is key. You must cite your notes in your head repeatedly and say them to yourself backwards.

It is essential to keep all of your graded quizzes and papers during the semester. One reason is that it will help you learn from your mistakes. Another is that you might see some of this material again on your final exams.

You need to think critically. You can do this by reading your material between the lines, forming your own analyses, comparing what you learn to your personal experiences and looking for similarities and differences for each topic.

Taking good care of your health will help you learn better. You must eat and sleep well. Additionally, exercising can help you think better.

Use these suggestions to study successfully in college!
