Stuffing Your Thanksgiving Turkey

Before you can make a good stuffing, you need to cook up some cornbread. Easy.

Turn oven to 450 *
1/2 cup corn meal
1/4 cup flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
a little salt and sugar
Mix up and add 1 cup milk (2%)
Stir in 1 egg
Add a teaspoon of veg. oil
Do not beat
Bake 10-15 min. in a sprayed pan

Set out and cool.
Chop a white onion
Turn oven down to 325*

Crumble up the cornbread into large mixing bowl.
crumble up 6 slices wheat bread.
add salt & pepper
mix in 1 pint of chicken broth
Stir in the chopped onion
stir in another egg

Pour into flat casserole dish.
Cover with foil.
Bake 30 min.
Take off foil, bake 15 more min.

Spoon some into the half cooked Turkey.

Leave some out for a side dish of "dressing".
Add cranberries.

Without sage you can actuall taste the turkey.
