Stupid People Have to Eat Too I Guess

Looking Back, at the Time I Worked in a Grocery Store

"How stupid are you?" , is a question that ran laps in my mind when I was younger, working at a grocery store. Seriously, you would not believe the fortitude of stupid people and questions you would get.

I mean, if you are in a grocery store, and no, I am not talking about a "Super Store" or "Mega Store" where they sell anything from car batteries to squash, but I mean a food specific store, and you can't find your way around, you need to stop what you are doing and go back to elementary school. For instance, this question was asked to me non-stop.

"Excuse me Sir, What aisle is the cereal on?"
Uh, heres a wild guess, but, if you look down the aisles, it will be the one with, nothing but cereal on it!!! And I don't know if you ever knew this, but above every single aisle, is a sign that says what is in that aisle. Are you just lazy, or are you really that dumb?

Lazy people also run ramped in grocery stores. Let's take a look at that question again.

"Excuse me Sir, What aisle is the cereal on?"
"It's located down aisle 3 Ma'am"
"Can You show me?"
Oh my God. You Actually want me to lead you to an aisle that is numbered? Why? It's not hard. Here, take my hand and we will walk together. Now you may think aisle 3 comes after 2 but before 4, but no! We tricked you and put it after aisle 7. Just to mix things up a bit. Lazy.

Then you get people who have successfully found all the items they wish to purchase, get to the check out, and can't figure out how to use there Credit or Debit card to pay for there purchases. Look, if you can't figure out a simple machine, designed to pay for items with a card, then you should not have a card. If your card is declined, it means you have no money, and you shouldn't argue with me and say you do.

I used to love customers who would start arguing with me about the dumbest things. Such as "Why is this product on the top shelf. I can't reach it" Well, if there is a bottom shelf, there has to be a top shelf. It's almost if they think the grocery store has something against them.

In closing, use your brain people. Think for yourself. You can do it!
Also, mind who you argue with in a grocery store. You never know if that guy will post the whole thing on line. Like me!
