1. The crisp clean white collared button down shirt. This is a wardrobe staple that will never go wrong. It can be dressed up or down with jeans and ballet flats or with a pencil skirt tucked in with a neck scarf and three inch heals for the office. This Spring I would love to see more cap sleeved white button downs with a small feminine collar. This is flirty in a way because cap sleeves show off toned arms and looks great with tan skin.
2. Patent leather in bright colors.I know last summer was the year of the juicy bright patent leather bag but I never got one! I am still a little bummed I guess, but for spring I would like to see juicy patent leather ballet flats in colors I could never wear in a shirt like: lime green, tangerine orange and canary yellow.
3. Jeans need to look like rockers got a hold of them and just ripped them to shreads. Shreaded worn out desroyed jeans just have such a "cool" factor to them. Make sure these holes don't portray a "trashy" aura just enough to looked rugged and cool...like I just got off the plane from london and I'm going strait to my gig man!
4. Which brings me to my next trend. To go with the jean...how about some leather accessories...we haven't seen carved leather pendants and things since the seventies. Lets bring back some funky seventies style medallions with a little less "cheese" factor and use leather to tie them around our necks!
5. Finaly can we ditch the high water pant and open toed booties? Lets go for crisp neatly taylored preppy shorts that cover our bottoms and have us looking like we are off to the golf course not the strip club (to work). Nothing nerdy like above the knee shorts . Mid thigh should be appproprite lenghth to pull off with a decent pair of legs.
6. Bring back long flowy printed gypsy skirts please. They hide everything and make us feel feminine on the go! Not to mention the hippie facor gives it an "I love the earth" vibe...
