There are moments that finding the perfect party dress is important and then you realize you have to choose the right pair of shoes for the occasion as well. What happens when you have several events in a row during the holiday season? Although buying a pair of new shoes for every function may be a dream come true for shoe lovers, the fact of the matter is it just isn't practical. Purchasing a pair of shoes for every function is costly and may not fit into your budget.

If you have a full calendar for the holidays you can find one pair of shoes that fits the bill for all events and saves a pocket full of money. The selections and trends are enormous for the season and you'll be able to find the pair that works for all of your holiday parties and events. Check out these stylish shoes that will carry you through the holidays.

Booties

Booties have been one of the hot trends for the past few seasons. Soft or supple, hard or edgy booties are found every where, but you want the right boot for you. Though studded or zipper embellished booties are on all the shelves, a boot that has been toned down will get you far more use during your holiday functions. Try a bootie that has a fold over with a bold button or flower. Perhaps you prefer straps? Choose a pair that's just above the ankle that offers straps to liven up the look. Open toe boots are also available with design, or choose a pair in velvet or suede to add texture and sass to any outfit.

Strappy Heels

Closed toed shoes with single or multiple straps are on fire this season. Luckily there are many styles of strappy heels that offer more coverage so your feet don't have to be cold. If you live in a warmer climate, by all means wear the thin straps, but choose a darker color that can be worn with a multitude of holiday outfits. Check out modified Mary Janes which are available with high heels and double or triple straps across the vamp.

Wedges

Although you may not be into wedges, stylish options are available so you may want to give them a try. Flat versions and extremely tall thin versions are bountiful and are being created by your favorite designers. A thinner and taller wedge offers a dressier appearance and will definitely get you through the holidays. Stay away from cork wedges; cork versions are better suited for summer and will not be the best choice for winter events.
