Suave VS Aussie Shampoo

Laura Hickey
With the high cost of food and gas prices, you may be searching for other ways to save money. Recently it's been suggested many times to buy the less expensive brands when going grocery shopping. One option I went with was to buy the less expensive brand such as the Suave hair care line. Recently I tried the Vibrant Blonde Shampoo. It claims it enhances highlights just as well as the John Frieda collection.

The product comes in a 14.5 fl oz golden color flip top bottle. The product is gentle for colored hair and claims it's for all hair shades. The price varying from store to store costs around $1.80-$2.50. It contains natural ingredients such as sunflower seed oil, lemon peel oil and peach fruit extract.

The shampoo doesn't add color to hair but rather cleanses it to enhance shine. I have been using this product for 3 weeks now and it does help enhance the hair highlights. But it really could use help in the moisturizing department. My hair especially at the ends feels dry, almost fried. This product never claimed to have any moisturizing benefits but I wouldn't buy it again. I asked my friends what they thought and they ended up with the same response of all dried out. The price and the fragrance were fine but at the end, the hair not so much. Don't get me wrong, some Suave products are alright but this one I wouldn't recommend.

I've seen a lot of commercials for the Aussie collection and soon began having their slogan of 'Add a little ru to your do' in my head. I tried their product Aussie's 2 in 1 Moist Shampoo. This product costs around $2.80-$3.99 depending on where you shop. It costs a little bit more but provided better results. This product claims it cleans, conditions, shines, moisturizes and softens hair. Some main ingredients are Australian sea kelp extract, jojoba oil and aloe barbadensis leaf extract. The purple bottle comes in a 13.5 fl oz flip top. My hair after using this product had shine and increased moisturize. Not to mention your hair is soft and has bounce. The scent was nice, not too overbearing but enough fragrance to it.

I suggest using Suave as hand soap in one of my articles.
