JUSTICE AND PEACE

The I Have a Dream speech was a watershed moment in American history. It was a message of justice and equality, and employment the rallying cry. But is it more important to look backward or to look forward and become that change we want to see.

A description of despicable malpractice of one pseudo-cop, one sergeant in the same department, who break the law they are supposed to enforce and obey. It is an accounting of discrimination against the disabled, and of rights, dignity and power abused.

Those went before the Occupy Wall Street and bent the arc of justice to put it within reach of the activist today. The great names associated with this effort are Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Nelson Mandela.

...because inevitably, we become what we think and our world is a reflection of us.
