The final SEC regular season games concluded this past Sunday with the #2 ranked Kentucky Wildcats outlasting the Florida Gators to go 18-0 at home this season. The final 2010 SEC Tournament brackets are now released.

Alabama lost their chance to make a final statement for the committee, as Kentucky decisively knocked them out. But the Wildcats remain in play for another SEC crown, with top seeded Florida now waiting for them.

The SEC tournament has Florida, Kentucky and Vanderbilt in the semifinals, as expected. But the bubble team that's in there with them is Alabama, after a big comeback over Georgia, yet their work still isn't done.

The SEC tournament quarterfinals start with a major do-or-die game between bubbly Georgia and Alabama. After that, more solid NCAA teams like Kentucky, Florida, Tennesee and Vanderbilt look to bulk up their resumes.

The SEC pits Eastern and Western division teams against each other today, although the East has had the advantage all year. Five Eastern teams are on track for an NCAA bid, while only Alabama is on the bubble out West.

Kentucky's victory over Tennessee solidified a bye for the SEC tournament, and set the full bracket up. Florida, Alabama and Mississippi State are also off for the first round, although SEC East teams are the overwhelming favorite.

The 2010 SEC Tournament is March 11th through March 14th in Nashville, Tennessee. The SEC has been led this season by the #2 ranked Kentucky Wildcats, Tennessee Volunteers, and Vanderbilt Commodores.

The SEC conference tournament has been under the radar the last few years. But with top teams like Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Tennessee leading things in Nashville, and with a few NCAA bubble teams trying to get in, the SEC will make some noise this week.

Year in and year out, the SEC is awful in the NCAA Tournament.
