When I discovered these words and what they truly meant, I learned that my choices affect my life and I can make my life what I want it.

My girlfriend and I went and seen, The Pursuit of Happiness a few weeks ago, and I have to say this is one of the best movies of 2006.

I've been getting several patriotic emails lately so life & liberty has been echoing through my mind. I decided to write about this echoing phrase. If you have read some my articles, you know this is not going to be some fact filled civics lesson.

What has made America strong in the past is its belief in our natural rights, our stalwart faith and religious values, limited government and a strong work ethic.

"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is one of the most famous phrases in the United States Declaration of Independence. It is worth noting that the declaration does not suggest a right to happiness itself; merely a right to pursue happiness.

How can we enjoy our entitlement to the good life, liberty from tyranny, and make an attempt to attain happiness if some segments within our society aren’t free to enjoy theirs?

Both Samuel Johnson and Jonathan Swift knew the possibility to live one's life devoted to an ideology and the danger associated with that lifestyle. They use antithetical structure to place ideologies side-by-side to portray that danger.

My Review of the movie The Pursuit of Happiness.

"The Pursuit of Happyness" is a moving character-based drama about a father trying to break the cycle of poverty.

Last time I checked, the pursuit for happiness was still one of my rights.

This is a comparison of President Obama's governing philosophy with that of the Founding Fathers. The emphasis is on the disadvantages of a government-centered morality using the examples of past international governments since the American Revolution.

What makes people happy?

This essay discusses the principles of happiness as a science that is based on the discovery of man and woman, in the image of God, their mission and in accomplishing it within their gift of a life.

To me, abortion comes down to natural rights; the permanent and complete denial of all of the rights of the unborn child versus the temporary denial of two rights, at most, for the woman.

One political and social issue that consumes Americans today is the right to decide one's own fate, or that of someone else. Is it possible to regulate death? Is it not worse, in some cases, for a person to continue living than it would be if he or she were to die?

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews and watching the interviews on TV, but here is what the movie was really like, bias opinions aside
