With the 2011 season already spawning 11 storms before the height of hurricane season, could this year be even more active than 2005?

Dogs afraid of thunder storms exhibit anxiety and panic. Left alone in a thunder storm, they may try to scratch their way out of a crate or pen, or butt their head against a gate. In extreme cases they may injure themselves, and/or damage your home.

The Midwest storms struck my area 4-plus times, leaving power lines laying across yards, trees in the roads, and severe flooding across the Midwest. This is my personal story of how the Midwest Storms impacted my weekend.

Today a string of powerful storms moved through the Midwest and into Chicago. The city saw massive power outages, downed trees and power lines and airport delays.
