Pics are from a 1700 km thumbing jaunt from Santiago, Chile north to the Peruvian border. Along the Panamerican Hwy, hitching buddy we faced the bone-dry Atacama Desert, drunk truckers, industrial beach-camping, and a deserted bioreserve island.
