Masada located on top of a plateau on a mountain in Israel could only be reached by a small steep trail. When besieged a large rampart was built on the back of the mountain to destroy the last handful of people taking refuge there.

What do you picture when you think of baby Jesus lying in a manger? I had the opportunity to see a manger in Israel and it was not what I pictured. Can you picture baby Jesus lying in this manger?

When the Romans completed the ramp from their camp to the top of Masada, not one Jewish warrior was left alive. They had committed suicide rather than be conquered by the Romans.
