NEW MOON

The Last Quarter Moon is the phase that begins one phase after the Full Moon. It is also the phase that is starts the Wanning Crescent part of the cycle. I had the great pleasure of capturing this image right from my bedroom window.

Movie stars appeared in Times Square to announce the premiere of Transformers Dark of the Moon movie on June 29, 2011.

A rare event is about to take place. A blue moon will take place on New Year's Eve, 2009. This is the first blue moon to appear on New Year's Eve since 1990. There will not be another New Year's Eve Blue Moon until 2028.

A beautifully renovated downtown hotel that has breathed new life into a fabulous historic building.

After posting content about New Year's Fireworks in Naples, FL, I decided to take and post some pictures of the display. Having Venus and the Moon in conjunction only made the display more beautiful.

Kennedy Space Center has so many amazing areas to visit, and each one helps to bring the space programs that we all grew up with to life. In this part we visit a new center that is dedicated to the Apollo missions that took man to the Moon.

One of the most interesting parts of the Rocket Garden was the various plaques that showed the development of new technologies in engines, launch pads etc, throughout the 1960's and up to the first Moon Landing.
