TREES

Blooming fruit trees join Dogwoods, Magnolias, and Redbuds to add color to the Spring landscape. These pictures were taken recently at Powell Gardens in Missouri.

The coconut trees here in the Philippines are very important, this is the number one soures of cooking oil and a young coconut is delicious especially if you add sugar and milk. Virgin coconut oil is said to be medicinal.

South Africa's Durban Botanic Gardens has outdoor areas with both native or indigenous and exotic plants. There are many large trees and many species of birds.

I originally posted a slideshow of Banyan Trees, however, I overlooked these that I took at Boca Grande in Florida. One is even equipped with an Iguana.

A Banyan Tree, as it's growing, will extend an extra root system from it's branches to support it's heavy trunk. These trees are absolutely amazing to see. What appears as extra vertical limbs, are actually roots.

Red-blooming maple trees decorate the Pennsylvania woods each spring. Usually buzzing in loud honey-bee voices, they are mostly silent in our area this year. Where are the bees?

The snow today has been unusual. We have snow drifted against all four sides of the house. And the trees in our backyard have a very unusual drift? pattern.

Trees are nature's way of keeping the air clean. Trees grow tall and straight or all bent over. They twist and turn adapting to the environment in which they live. Truly a beautiful piece of art.

Common trees in Singapore

If you live or visit Washington State, you know the beauty of trees.

One of the most common and recognizable ornamental trees in America, this tree is popular for its dense branching and broadly pyramidal shape. It offers snowy white blossoms and bright red foliage in autumn. Seen here lining a driveway.

These pictures were taken along the Northern California coast in an area called "The Avenue Of The Giants." These trees are beautiful and some are taller than even the Statue of Liberty is!
