The most interesting thing we saw in a 100 miles of salt flats west of Salt Lake City was a sculpture called the Tree of Utah.

Hidden in the desert on the Utah/Arizona border lies the spectacular Wave. Access to The Wave is limited to 20 people per day and is awarded via a lottery drawing done by the BLM. It's a 3 mile hike to The Wave and well worth the visit.

At Four Corners monument, 4 states come together in one point. Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. They seem to be in the process of rebuilding the setting for your famous photo opportunity.

A three day trek through the western United States

There are a lot of guesses as to why this is called 9-mile canyon, but for sure it isn't its 48 mile length. From Utah Valley it can be done easily in a day. I recommend Backcountry Adventures by P. Massey and J. Wilson (Copyright 2002) as a guide.

The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah was the host to the local and national media, both traditional and non- traditional, covering the Republican Party Election Campaign Results Live. And we were there!
