I am a Horticulturist and have been nurturing a passion for English language and writing poems, essays and stories. I also own a nursery growing Bonsai and other ornamental plants.

A biography for a sixty year old guy in 2000 words is like asking to plant the Amazon Rain forest into a Bonsai pot. I am an accountant by trade, but a singer of Irish songs, a guitar player, a performer, a writer of poems, songs and short stories by design. I have published nothing, never intended to. But things change. I for the first time have gotten into writing a book, well some 40,000 words into it, with as many to go before I finish I do suspect. This type of writing has poked my curiosity as to the possibilities of actually having readers. What a novel idea!

Hi, I'm Craig Bean. My wife Sherry & I have been married for over 26 years, and have always shared a similar sense of financial discipline. I retired earlier this year, at the age of 48. We've long seen the concepts of reduce, reuse, recycle as good for our finances, as much as they're good for the environment. More than occasionally we've been ridiculed as overly tight, frugal, or even cheap, but as the years have gone by, we've felt vindicated that the path we have chosen is a valid one, and one that has lead to the early retirement I have long been shooting for. Those same choices have allowed Sherry to work only part time over the years. We hope to share some of our insights with others, with the belief that something will resonate, and will make a positive difference for at least one person! I am a long time motorcycle rider, and have been involved in the art of bonsai for about 15 years. Parents of 2, and grandparents of 2, we both like to spend time with the kids, and travel when possible.

I am a writer and a lawyer. My third face is that of a trainer. I give lectures on conducting inquiries, handling court matters as well as constitutional and human rights issues.

I am soon to be a journalism and digital cultures student. I like minimal, techno, tech house and house, blues, classic rock, world cinema, i'd like travelling if i could afford it and would like to work abroad when i graduate from Liverpool John Moores University.
