Hello! My name is Taylor Johnson and I am the Happygirl, author of the blog The Happygirl Experiment. Prior to this adventure (since 1995) I was a Community Manager then Senior Events & Celebrities Host and Reporter for MSN.com covering film, television, music, politics and lifestyles. Along with an extraordinary production team I've hosted thousands of video and print interviews, film junkets, set visits, premieres, one-on-one interviews and online chat events. I've had the fortunate opportunities to interview George Clooney on a beach in the South of France, David Bowie in a SoHo loft and psychic Sylvia Browne at a spa in Arizona. These were incredible adventures, each one of them. However, the universe went willy-nilly on me in 2009 and literally took away almost everything I loved in this world. Now my focus is about how to get your happy back once you lost it. It's one big amazing world out there and I'd like to help you get your happy on!

I have always had a passion for writing and have a strong background in editing and managing newspapers and magazines. I am also a self-confessed grammar nut and a celebrity gossip afficianado. I learned to navigate the social network to give my blog a fighting chance, and I continue to grow my blog's success on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. I have a great deal of experience in blogging and online publishing and began my writing career in print media. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a B.A. in English, and from the University of Miami School of Law with scholarship. I was the primary fashion writer for INsite Magazine, a Gainesville, Florida publication, for five years; I served as Associate Editor in Chief and later as Executive Editor of Res Ipsa Loquitur, University of Miami School of Law's school newspaper. I contribute to the Miami Fashion Blog as a fashion writer. I am published in the Florida Justice Association Journal, a legal journal for Florida trial lawyers, as well. Today I am a practicing attorney, but my real passion lies in print, thus my self-appointed position with Glitter & Pearls.

I am a Journalism and Broadcast graduate who enjoys writing about all things from celebrities and beauty to sports and travel. You can always find me writing, whether on my laptop or on a notepad. I was the features editor for my university newspaper for nearly 1 year and for 3 years I had a weekly celebrity column, which I loved to write! In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, working out, listening to music and reading. Going out and shopping isn't too far down the list of my favourite things to do either and I also love to travel. I have been to France, India, New York, Florida and recently spent 6 months working in New Orleans! Los Angeles is next on my very long list of places that I still want to go to.
