From 2002-2004 I attended the Walden Project, gaining literary and experience based education through the inspiration of Henry David Thoreau. I graduated high school in 2004 and began attending the Community College of Vermont taking various english courses. since then I have worked for both a federally funded Housing Authority in Champaign County Illinois as well as a local well known property management company Green Street Realty. After being laid off without cause (other than personal indifference) I decided to return to school. I currently attend Parkland College on a full time basis, although I have yet to decide my major I have reconnected with my roots of writing thanks to my mandatory English 101 course. I hope to graduate sometime in the near future and make contributing to my community through writing a regular part of my life. In May of this year I will be getting married to a wonderful man, one who has given me unwaivering support through all of my transitions. I have a lot to look forward to and I am hopeful that having the Contributor Network as an outlet will prove to be a great jumping off point for many things to come.

I am an 19 year old community collage student who is attending EvCC. I came to this site so I could make money while I was writing off topic things to get my mind back on my work. I used to think that I hated writing but now know I only hated the physical "writing" part and am totality fine with the mental process of writing.

Keen observer of fifty years, I learned my first counseling skills inmid-1960s as my mother received many electroshock therapies and court commitments to the California State Mental Hospital. My father and I frequently visited her and I listened to her agonies. Nevertheless at age 22, I too became a long-suffering mental health client following the breakup of a romantic relationship. Frequently miss-diagnosed and forced drugging was imposed on me for asking questions. I stated educating myself by mid-1980s. However in 1990 I was abused in a hospital emergency room following my agony with a urinary infection in which staff decided to violently restrain me. Incident traumatized me emotionally and set up PTSD for next 20 years. The incident motivated me to finish up college to do something about medical injustices/prejudices. Gradually I proceeded to network at conferences, politicians in Oregon and was invited to the National Mental Health Association convention in Washington DC in 2001 and 2006 addressing Congress-people and Senators alike on prevalent health-care issues. Since early 2008, I experienced kidney disease to the necessity of dialysis and possible beginnings of neurological shaking of Parkinson-like symptoms causing more frequent absences from work with increased hospitalizations. Discovered the radiance in Evangelistic Christian Faith and stated finding my first safe-intimate friendships/community. This tied into my increased fascination of energy medicine and quantum physics. My love of my life (and a profound physical lifesaver for me during my medical emergencies) is Leona whom we married this February. Her experiences in nutrition and respected trained herbalist have helped improve my health (and from near-death), bringing me exponentially closer to Jesus. Currently I am resting from professional duties, attending church in Vancouver Washington, and working out extensively hiking or in a local gym to actively regain my health.

Owning and operating a business, marketing and advertising, as well as interacting with customer, are areas of experience that I enjoy writing about. As a business owner I became involved with the local chambers of commerce, as well as the community as a whole. Other experience has been gained through work with nonprofits. Having become a board member of two local charities, offers a great deal of insight into the nonprofit sector. I enjoy staying active within my church, traveling, and making a difference within my community.
