  • Shane Pickle
Shane is a father of 4 children with a lovely wife, as well as a typical jack of all trades. With his unrealized true love of aviation he has done everything from obtaining a private pilots license in 1994, to working at the now extinct LanceAir. He has a great interest in self reliance which has led him to study a variety of subjects that include everything from power generation and auto repair to construction and hobby farming. Shane currently lives in Prairie City Oregon with his wife and 4 children and farms 7 acres owned by his grandparents. Farm animals include a milk cow, calfs, and chickens. Due to special circumstances he home schools his oldest child with the next in line attending public pre-school. The majority of his work career has been in sales with almost 20 years experience. He currently is the Oregon Partnership Director for a company that provides digital directories and concierge systems to hotels.
  • Earl Wiser
I grew up near Kingston, NY, about 100 miles north of New York City, graduating from Kingston High School in 2006 while at the same time completing the Electrical Construction program at Ulster Co. BOCES, a technical school. After high school I worked for several electrical and construction companies in Orange Co. and Buffalo NY. During these years I worked on building projects for Habitat for Humanity, and assisted the Calvary Chapel Relief Ministries after storms in Tennessee and Arkansas in 2008 and 2009, respectively. In 2009, I moved to Sherman, TX, where I worked as an electrician before deciding to go to school for electrical engineering. I moved to Tyler, TX in April 2011, and am currently taking classes at Tyler Junior College.
  • Bryan Dennison
Bryan is an engineer that has practiced in the petroleum industry for more than 30 years. For the last 20 years, he has managed a software development firm that he founded which serves the petroleum and construction industries. His company's clients include Fortune 50 corporations, government entities, large consulting firms, as well as small business customers. For the last 6 years, Bryan has also been heavily involved in a construction company that he co-founded which specializes in residential and light commercial construction. His academic background started with an engineering undergraduate degree. His graduate school research emphasis area was software engineering. In addition to 20 plus years of conventional software development experience, recently he has gone back to school to study current web development and mobile technologies. His technical role within the software firm has been the company’s chief software architect and product development leader. Having founded two start-ups, Bryan understands the rewards and risks of small business and his insight in this area is realistic and somewhat unconventional. One of his business interests is in examining the obstacles and difficulties that plague small businesses when they attempt to grow from a small, informally managed organization into a littler larger company that can no longer be run informally in the founder’s head. Information technology specifically addressing this need is lacking in the marketplace and has been a focus of his company’s research efforts. Over the years, Bryan has been heavily involved in volunteer organizations which refurbish housing for low income residents. He also has a passion for science with a particular interest in the human brain, social psychology, and evolutionary psychology. Bryan has always had an interest in the world beyond our borders. Working in industries with an international reach, Bryan also has a strong background in world history.
  • J. D. Register
I have spent much of my working life in the fields of Manufatureing, printing and construction with the last 3 years in Flexographic printing specifically. My experiance in these industries has exposed me to many social and economic issues. Most recently the plight of unemployment. Self sufficient was the phrase that described it best in my mind. My self identity was always linked to the ability to provide for both myself and my family. Recently "Self sufficient" was taken away from me and I am now taking a long, long look in that figurative mirror. Looking to the past isn't possible. I can only see the uncertainty that is the future and look in awe at the possibilities that lay before me.
