  • Geoffrey Taylor
Geoffrey Taylor is a 30 something living in Small Town America, on the West Coast of Florida to be more precise. He loves cycling, golf, football and really, really wants to get into the sport of Kayaking. I have an interest in politics, and that really just consists of watching the news and yelling at the TV. However, I do that a whole bunch, so I would say I have a pretty dedicated interest in the matter. I am also interested in the education matters that the USA feels like they are facing today. I am confused by it. I came from public schools and went to a public university, so I believe that our education system is adequate, but I am not sure that a 4 year degree should be a requirement for everyone. Professionally, I have worked in the Car Rental industry in the past, and I bring a wealth of knowledge on that subject.

  • Janell Loredo
I am a California college student who loves writing about my passions. I love riding horses, music, health and fitness, cycling, yoga, swimming, being a vegan, English literature, rock-climbing, and doing just about anything active! I am a person with musical/artistic mind, scientific understanding mixed with artistic appreciation, and optimistic approach to life. I'm a deep thinker, and observant/thoughtful person and writer. I LOVE LEARNING new things. I love school and am working towards a future in pediatric nursing and classical music performance. I'm highly concerned with health and fitness. I have always been fascinated with the way the health of the body improves all other areas of daily and academic life. Currently I am an avid road/mountain biker, kickboxing student, aerobics teacher-in-training, regular gym member, English/Dressage Equestrian, yoga student, cyclist, and gluten-free vegan. I am also a musician ;) I have played piano for a total of 13 years, violin for 5, and sung my whole life. I have a passion for classical voice and plan to pursue a career in vocal performance and eventually a doctorate in music education. What better way to share my gift than by giving the gift of music to young children through music education. Growing up with three other siblings who also play piano, sing, and play various instruments has been the chief inspiration for my love of music. Music is a deeply fulfilling art form. As a Christian, music and singing become more that art to me. My musical abilities give me a unique and gentle way to touch others spiritually through ministry. I have also been blessed with opportunities to participation in numerous honor choirs, state choirs, solo/ensemble festivals, and competitions. Overall, I seek to glorify God through the gifts he has given me in all areas of my life! I love having fun, learning, and being myself! Life is a beautiful gift :) Be thankful! God bless Peace

  • Gene Nacey
The business of cycling has become a second career for me. It is a veritable collision of my passion for cycling and an insatiable thirst to create something new. After being certified as a SpinningÃÆ''šÃ'šÃ‚® instructor, I landed in Heart ZonesÃÆ''šÃ'šÃ‚® territory under the mentorship of Sally Edwards, where I became a Master Trainer; the go-to-guy for Training with Power. This work with power lead me to writing the first book produced for training with indoor power bikes, Power Training. I am also a certified USA Cycling coach, and in 2007 opened Global Ride Training Center, an Indoor Cycling, Yoga & Pilates studio in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. Along the way though, I had a vision for "bringing the outside in", and through this process have combined a life long hobby of video editing to create Global Ride Productions, a video production company that creates virtual cycling DVDs. Despite having 2 bachelor degrees, a masters degree in public health, and being a former entrepreneur of the year, I have come face to face with the unique challenges of the fitness industry However, my background has provide me with a unique perspective. The combination of facility owner, cycling coach/indoor instructor, software designer, and my continued involvement in racing eventually led me to the founding of Cycling FusionÃÆ'¢'Ã...¾Ã'šÃ‚¢. As the CEO of Cycling Fusion, I am working with industry leaders in the pursuit of merging indoor and outdoor cycling under one roof for both improved performance for the outdoor rider, and better fitness for those who prefer to stay inside. This will be no small undertaking, as the intention is to have a nation wide impact to upgrade Indoor Cycling programs across the country.

  • Lori Hazel
Lori is a life long traveler on the path to personal fitness. Some might say she started down the path during her age group competitive swimming days or while playing Little League Softball. Others would tell you it happened when she reached her maximum density and suffered from chronic back and joint pain after her college swimming career came to an end. The when is not as important as the why and how? The why or the importance of personal fitness became significant during her years as a Forester and Fire Manager along with desires to participate in the activities she loves, such as wilderness backpacking and endurance cycling events. While living on an extremely tight budget, she developed a fitness plan and nutritional strategies that enabled her to lose weight and get in shape to meet the physical requirements and demands of her profession and hobbies. Lori has earned certifications as a Fitness Trainer and Cycling Coach, and has experience designing programs to help individuals to lose 50+ pounds, improve their overall health and fitness, complete 100+ mile bike events, marathons, improve competitive swimming skills, to learn and compete in martial arts. When she's not working, she's outside playing Frisbee with her dog, on a day hiking trip or wilderness backpacking adventure, or enjoying a local bike ride.
  • Chuck Schneider
I am a 40 year old Type 1 diabetic that was diagnosed on October 31, 2007. This came as quite a shock as I went to the doctor for a routine physical. At the time I was running about 30 miles a week and felt as if I was in great shape. I began my real training regiment when I turned 20 years old. At that point of my life stress and everyday life was getting the best of my sleep habits so I decided to take up Martial Arts. To make a long story short, I loved it and took it to every extreme possible. By the year 1998 I held the rank of 2nd degree black belt and was a part time instructor at the school. In addition I taught Cardio Kick Boxing classes in several locations a few nights a week. As my professional career grew, traveling and time away from home became much more increased. I found myself missing out on class schedules so I decided to try running. For the first few months I would come home very excited to complete 2 miles. Little did I know that was the beginning of my base building mileage. I just loved the idea of having the ability to run anyplace when ever I had the time! About a year and half after the start of my running I bumped into an old karate friend. He had become an avid runner and he was telling me about a triathlon he was training for. The challenge of Triathlons seemed intriguing so my thoughts were "why not give it a try". I joined the local college and started swimming. It was a great deal of trouble to complete 2 laps in the pool. Clearly swimming would be no easy task. Either way I decided to keep at it and give it a whirl. In early June of 2006, the day had arrived, my first triathlon (Olympic distance in Montauk, N.Y.) since that time I have competed in dozens of running, cycling and triathlon events. My largest feat as a diabetic was completing Ironman Arizona in 2008. Currently I am training for Ironman Florida 2010 and my goal is to take 3 hours off the previous time that I did in Arizona.
