A 50-something Alaskan USMC veteran of the Vietnam Era who has lived in Alaska since 1968. I am a Disneyland (CA) addict and trivia-ologist (I actually got to meet Walt, and the "Big Mousekateer" Roy, in the park as a child). I have worked in security, logging, commercial fishing, fish processing, fur trapping, retail sales, collections, juvenile corrections, community custody corrections ["half-way house" ... we weren't allowed to use that term], Human Service advocacy and counseling, and Personal Care Attendant (PCA) services. I have lived in Southern CA, Dallas TX area, Ky, NC, and Alaska and have traveled from coast-to-coast along the southern states from 1956 to the 1980's. I did a 13 month tour of duty in Japan and lived in a logging camp and Tlinget Indian village in Southeast Alaska. In addition, I have worked along side individuals from nearly every socio-economic level from the homeless to Herbalife millionaires, as well as nearly every culture in America. OH! And I spent the last 4 years as an Anchorage, AK cab driver and have some great insights to tourist tips and shopping locations for South-Central Alaska!
