  • Philip Ray
I am a professional military person with over 25 years of "real world" experience. I have done (or tried) almost everything you can image. From military service to remodeling, carpentry, tiling, and construction to playing drums, DJ’ing, car audio installs, to computer repair: The list is almost endless. I hold a Masters degree in Information Systems. Although I have not worked in my field, I do keep abreast of the technologies. I feel like a banana with a few brown spots: Just ripe enough to still eat right out of the peeling but getting too close to being mashed up for banana pudding. With a little humor, lots of hustle and some spunk, I have managed to spur myself into staying aboard the ride of life. I look to life's little pleasures and relish in the growing minds that are my children. My little ones say the most clever things and are amazing to watch grow. Keeping up with all they pick up and say provides me with countless hours of story telling at the office and online. Patience, not being one of my virtues, sometimes holds me back; but I almost always manage to come out smiling. Writing is a passion, but has never been a career. I would love to start to share a little experience, knowledge, and humor from my life to leave as a legacy. We will see where this little experiment goes and try to add writer to my list of credentials.

  • Tia rose
Tia rose was born August 1985 in Huntington New York just weeks before hurricane Gloria ravaged the east coast. Tia's mechanic father and housewife mother welcomed a second baby girl sixteen months later and by the end of 1987 moved the family nine hundred miles south to Tennessee. She was raised in a log house her parents had built in Barren Plains Tn, near the Kentucky state line where they assembled a small farm, and gave the children experiences that they would never have had in the city. She moved to Knoxville Tn in 2003 after graduating early from high school. For four years she worked as a waitress and bartender while pursuing painting, writing, sculpting, sewing and travel. Tia moved to Nashville Tn in late 2007. After a series of gigs, including driving from Las Vegas to Long Island and an actress job or two, she took a job as a traveling vendor and bar tended at a tiny dive bar while in town. Her passion for cooking and fresh food led her to begin a chemical free garden, she creates recipes, experiments with different foods and cooks for anyone that will eat. In early 2009 her love of words led to the start of her first book which is still a work in progress. In 2010 her closeted love of music emerged and she started experimenting with different instruments until discovering drums imbued a revolutionary type of ardor inside her. She is known for her quick wit, derisive sense of humor and extreme honesty. She is easily entranced by all things creative and different.

  • Zak S.
I'm an experienced drummer that holds a goldmine of information about products regarding drums, percussion, cymbals, and more! I am passionate about these topics, and love to share with others my great finds! As many drummers know, Gear Acquisition Syndrome hits most, if not all drummers. That said, it requires more topics posted about the latest, most exciting gear! But many fellow drummers like myself, simply cannot afford to spend a third of their paycheck on new goodies, so I'm always on the lookout for the best equipment at the best price. Recently, I've started a recording endeavour. I plan to share my findings as I explore this exciting new topic! Stay tuned and keep on reading!

  • The Truth
I was born in Portland, Oregon, where I lived for the first nine years of my life. My family then moved to a small town in Virginia named Roanoke, and then after two years moved to my present home in Mechanicsville. Here I have lived for eleven years, and am now pursuing an English degree at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Music is an enormous part of my life, both in learning instruments and frequenting area concerts. I play the trumpet, drums, and guitar and consider myself to have a reasonably eclectic taste in music. I played in the marching band all four years of my high school career and hope to very soon join the marching band at my present school. My other passion is fitness. I love to ride my bike for any reason around Blacksburg, as well as traditional weight work at my school gym. I hope to someday merge my enjoyment of writing with my activity in physical fitness into a very enjoyably career.
