  • Beth Kimball
As an avid reader, and because of my education in language arts, I am a highly skilled and detailed editor. I have written fairly extensively for some local businesses, providing them with everything from website population to editorial copy. Further, my vast exposure to all genres of writing has given me the confidence and creativity to write about any topic, with a specialty in food/restaurant editorial copy. My meticulous research style, creative use of language and laid-back open-mindedness make me the ideal candidate for any writing job. Along with my career as a freelance writer/editor, I work part time in a sweet little preschool located in the Mission Hills area of San Diego. I have been a teacher for more than 10 years.

Above all, I believe in allowing my writing to speak for my character. But as for my professional experience, I began my career in journalism way back when as a member of my high school yearbook staff. I am now the lead copy editor on my university newspaper's editorial board. I am a sophomore and this is my second year as an editor. I'm half psyched and half scared for the "real world" in journalism.

  • Isabelle Marsh
Hello all - My name is Isabelle. I would like to think I have got things figured out, but I do not. However, when it comes to graphite and paper, I think I have all directions covered. I specialize in editorial writing and blogging about environmental issues. In early October of 2011, I was hired as the editor and contributing writer for an online blog called Indie Peace. So far, I have dug myself deep into playing Devil's Advocate. In addition, I work for a non-profit called GivingPoint, where my primary focus is community outreach and publishing the monthly newsletter. I have been employed with GivingPoint as an intern since May of 2011, however I previously served as a volunteer two years prior. I must say, both of my jobs open my eyes to the many variety of writing styles out there, and although I crave a good editorial, I also crave a new style of writing I have to yet to discover. On the side (yes, there is a "side"), I write for an Atlanta based newspaper, VOX Communications. When I was in high school, I spent two years on the student newspaper staff, writing for the editorials section. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the staff, however, I encountered a censorship issue within my school that prompted me to find work elsewhere. It was an interesting twist considering the fact that I was censored for an article I wrote about censorship in schools. I'd also like to throw out a thank you to a teacher of mine, Mrs. Clinch. "We read to know we're not alone."
