Hello, Thanks for visiting my profile. I currently live in Austin, Texas. I enjoy fatherhood, prophetic studies, freelance writing, to name a few. Marques E. Cunningham is a Journalist, Freelance Writer, and Author with ten years professional writing experience. Cunningham began taking writing seriously entering his senior year of high school. Eager to gain experience, he became a reporter for his schools newspaper, Bruins 411. After only a few weeks, he became the senior editor due to his keen eye for grammatical errors, effective writing skills, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines. In 2002, Cunningham self-published his first book, The Man Who Dared to Dream. This was a fictional book aimed towards teenagers, urging them to never give up-even when failure seems inevitable. It addresses the 12 most prevalent issues concerning black men such as: education, religion, fatherhood, and greed. The book was completed early 2011 and is pending a publishing deal.

I have lived in the Denver are for the majority of 25 years and I am proud to call the Rocky Mountain area my home. Prior to that my childhood was filled with a lot of travel. Having a father who worked for the Air Force allowed me to see many far away places such as Japan, Guam, and England. I've been happily married to my beautiful wife for two years and we are enjoying the rigors and rewards of parenthood. My one year old daughter keeps me active and teaches me about fatherhood everyday. I hold a Bachelor's degree in business management, but writing has always been a secret hobby of mine.

I am in my 30's, currently residing in Indiana. I am married with three children, and my primary career is fatherhood. Besides writing, I am a stay-at-home-dad and home-school teacher. Prior to this, I worked for an international non-profit organization followed by a brief career as a financial advisor.

An increasing number of singles are single parents, and yet, I still feel a very over-looked aspect of dating is the perspective of a single father. Single parents overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges every day and still have the energy (most days) to prepare dinner, help with homework, patch up "boo-boos" and read bedtime stories. I searched bookshelves near and far for works that I could relate to, but continued to come up short. What was it like to enter the dating world after marriage and fatherhood? What would be my greatest challenges? What should I expect from myself and from others? How do I meet people?! I found nothing that could answer my questions so I sought out the answers myself. One at a time, I answered my own questions and learned my own lessons (and continue to do so to this day) and began shaping those answers and experiences into what is to become my book.
