Shabria CaldwellShabria is an enthusiastic, young, freelance journalist who recognizes writing as an art. As a GSU graduate, she received her BA in journalism with her minor in English. Her passion for the field led her to participate in the Semester in Washington Journalism Program at The George Washington University by which she worked at the notable MacNeil/Lehrer Productions. She also had the exciting opportunity to document the DC Fringe Festival. Currently, she volunteers her time as a mentor to young girls at a local middle school. She believes not only in proper education, but also in the power a healthy mind plays in personal growth and development.
Tricity VogueOne of London’s best-loved quirky divas, ukulele-toting Tricity Vogue has been putting her own offbeat twist on vintage jazz glamour for the last eight years. As well as painting herself blue for her highly original and "refreshingly bizarre" solo cabaret show, The Blue Lady Sings, the London Cabaret Award nominee also hosts and runs her much-loved Ukulele Cabaret in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe, fronts a hot 20s swing band, and has a secret double life as an award-winning scriptwriter. “Anyone else a massive fan of the divine Miss Vogue and her ukulele..? Thought so. It’s cabaret to run down side streets for. Just get there early.” Time Out London Critics’ Choice Tricity's alter-ego is scriptwriter, editor and producer Heather Tyrrell, whose work has spanned film, television, games and new media, including a South By South West Award. Tricity enjoys exploring London by day and night, whether she's at a new show on the underground neo-cabaret scene or the latest exhibition at the Tate Modern. Her work as a cabaret artist also takes her around the UK and Europe, where she likes to explore new cities, shop for vintage clothes and sample the local food and drink.

"Ray" Sleman Abu SalimI am a modern day renaissance man. I'm a professional saxophone player, I'm studying to take the first part of the CPA exam, I know how to put together a PC from an empty metal box, and I'm a father of four. I joke that I can balance your books, do your taxes, design a website, and play a nice jazz song all at the same time. When I'm not focusing on my job or my children I'm concerning myself with US and World politics. I'm a Palestinian American and they say all Palestinians know something about politics, at least in my family. I'm also a big time Dallas Mavericks and Cowboys fan and I throw my support behind the Texas Rangers when the time is needed :). On my off time I usually watch a fair amount of television which range from Science Fiction to cop procedural shows like NCIS. So my articles, if published, will range from US Presidential elections to the latest episode of Fringe. I hope you enjoy my articles

J.L. BucklesSo I am a perpetual bum really. I spend almost all my time furthering my exploration into the areas of interest and expertise I have listed. I feel an insatiable thirst for greater knowledge. I'm one of those classic academics who get lost in their own head. Various life experience and my own loosely hinged mind have left me quite knowledgable, of someone my age, in the area of Psychology. I've poured over countless volumes concerning social science for an insight into what exactly it means to be human. My religious exploits have also lead to a, what I hope to be, a greater scope of spirituality than those who subscribe only to the prodominant western religions. If there is a fringe religion often scoffed at by the majority, then you can take it as given I have researched it. I find the eastern ideas of universal connectivity to be leagues more positive than monotheistic or judeochristian views. However, I desire to learn the most from everyone's spiritual and moral beliefs because at base to shut out someone just from disagreement is against my beliefs. I often veer off into those areas of "science" which true scientists label as mysticism, pop psychology, urban legend, new age, conspiracy theory, and worst of all the humanities. How emotionless is that for an area of study which seeks to answer the most important questions of life, "why we are what we are". So knowing such, my articles may dance on the edge of the accepted rationality or normality, and knowing me even topple off that chasm. The same fire which consumes me to learn also fuels my need to write. To somehow mold my true beliefs and passions into the written word is a great feat, but yet so easy. Anyone who has this desire will know my meaning. The ultimate thrill in life is to create for by creating we seek to imitate God.

Ted DobgormanCorporation or LLC? Find Out What Would Work Best For You Once you have made up your mind to create that new business, it's time to think about which option is right for you. By doing this you are limiting the liability of the business owners. There are usually 2 main alternatives you will have to consider. These options are: creating a Limited Liability Company or a C corporation. The Limited Liability Company The truth is that for most small business situations the simplicity and flexibility of the LLC makes much better sense. That's because a C corporation is subject to double taxation. This is not the case with the LLC. The actual LLC does not pay tax on its income, unlike the corporation. We should note here the Subchapter S corporations which are similar to the LLC from this point of view. The C Corporation C corporations have their own specific advantages. These may include the following: A configuration that may be more alluring to investors. Even if you have just one or two investors that work with you on a daily basis then they will be able to see where their money is invested. But what if you don't work with the investor directly? What could you (the business owner) offer in order to make things run more smoothly? A stock certificate given to the investors would make a good choice in these situations and it would prove the investor's partial ownership of the business. The corporation can also hire you as its CEO and pay you a tax deductible salary. You also get fringe benefits such as covering your health insurance premium. A Limited Liability Company would allow you to deduct only a portion of those fringe benefits. Sub Chapter S Corporation If you're worried about your self-employed taxes, an S Corporation might make a great choice since the Limited Liability Company owners get taxed more. Self employed taxes are the taxes collected from the employees' pay. This tax doesn't apply only if you work for somebody el
