I have five children, the last of which is entering college and can provide a wealth of information on how to survive those years. I'm from a large family and have a large family so frugality is one of my learned traits. Over the years I've been a disc jockey, entrepenuer for multiple businesses, and love to read as well as write reviews for books. Through my extended large family I have had multiple experiences with teenage angst, addictions, rebellions, and communications with teenagers. Leadership is a strong skill for me as well as motivation when it comes to employees and family members. My faith has been center in my life for over twenty years, although it took many years to understand what I was looking for.
  • Lo Carlet
I am a full-time busy mother of four super children and wife to a terrific husband! I love to take some "me" time to read and write. One day, I hope to write a book. I used to teach before my children were born. Since then, I have substitute taught and tutored occasionally but remained home for the most part. I look for ways to make life better for my kids. Since two of my children have special needs, I enjoy researching resources that will be beneficial for them now and for the future so that they might become totally independent. I enjoy comparison shopping, couponing, frugality, and DIY projects for home improvement and decor. I have recently become intrigued with photography and software programs like Adobe Photoshop. I am currently working on photo albums, picture frames, and converting old VCR family movies into DVD format '" a very time consuming project!
  • Carrie L. Clemons
I was born and raised in East Texas along with my older sister and two younger brothers. My father was a railroad clerk who went into politics. He served in the Texas Legislature for 14 years, and this enabled us to have many wonderful experiences as a family. My mother was a wonderful homemaker and the hardest working person I have ever known. I had a wonderful childhood that was not without hardship, and I was raised to be independent and strong-willed. I currently reside north of Dallas in the suburbs, and I miss the country living of my younger years. My husband is a software developer, and we have a wonderful four year old daughter. In my "former life" I worked on political campaigns and held jobs in the social work field and was most recently involved in marketing and accounts payable. I have not decided if I will go to back to work when my daughter starts school. I have many interests and some obsessions including (but not limited to): cooking and baking; baseball and football, both real and fantasy; parenting, especially helping other moms of preemies; frugality and saving money, on everything from groceries to clothes to vacations; politics and current events; reading, primarily fiction; documentaries; mixed martial arts (watching, not participating); playing Halo on XBOX. As a family, we enjoy hiking and camping and picnics. I am first and foremost a family oriented person. I love having friends and family at my house, especially for sporting events and holidays. I am very close with my parents and my siblings, and I am blessed beyond words.
