Mark Donald Ryan SternI have my BA from the University of Tulsa in Biology, Commercial Art with some postgraduate work. I worked as a Biology department assistance doing scientific illustration such as Paul Buck PhD. s Woody Plants of Oklahoma in the Winter Condition . I worked as a commercial artist while completing my postgraduate work in Secondary Education at Langston University. From 1986-2005 I taught for Dallas ISD teaching sciences from 7-12. I took disability retirement in 2005. I have been passionate about learning and education my entire life. I have been assumed to be a medical doctor, a rabbi, a PhD in literature, and other fields due to my expertise in these areas and others. As an HIV+ gay Jew, my primary interests are in Judaism, GLBT issues, and HIV/AIDS issues. I still reside in Dallas.
Chris WilsonI'm a USAF military veteran who is bi/pansexual and transgendered. I am a FtM meaning that I was born female and am transitioning to being male. I have a BA in Sociology, am working on an MDiv in metaphysics, and work as a freelance writer and photographer for GLBT and Rape/Crisis Counseling advocacy efforts.
Corey John Richardson, MPAS, MBACorey John Richardson is a former clinician, who holds a Master's Degree in PA Studies from the University of Nebraska's College of Medicine (Omaha) and a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science\PA Certificate from the University of Florida's College of Public Health (Gainesville). He holds an MBA from Salve Regina University's Graduate Business School (Newport, RI) and has completed doctoral health science coursework with a focus on prison healthcare at Spalding University (Louisville, KY). Mr. Richardson's research has been incorporated into criminology courses at the University of Cincinnati and has been included in CURE's congressional file on correctional healthcare in support of HR 3710. He has performed medico-legal consulting and has legal experience assisting prisoners in various civil and criminal actions. As a pro se litigant, he won a precedent-setting case on appeal against the Kentucky DOC and its Abuse of Power (published at Richardson v. Rees, 283 S.W. 3d, 2571). He has also worked as a facilitator in numerous psychotherapeutic and rehabilitative programs. Mr. Richardson has written widely about prison issues and sobriety for publications such as Spotlight on Recovery, Cell Door Magazine (the official publication of the National Death Row Assistance Network), T'he Kentuckiana News, AHP Perspectives (the official journal of the Association for Humanistic Psychology), The Grapevine (Alcoholics Anonymous' international publication), The Long Term View journal (Massachusetts School of Law at Andover), OUTlooks (Canada's GLBT magazine), and others. Several of his essays have been published in the book Voices Through The Wall and he won 1st Prize in the Ford Foundation's 2OO9 national writing competition Think Outside the Cell, An Entrepreneur's Guide for the Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated, also published as a book. Mike HaltermanMike Halterman is the publisher and editor-in-chief of Out on the Town Magazine, a magazine catering to gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people (the GLBT community) in the Florida Panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. He attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, majoring in journalism and minoring in French. In the past he has worked with WTSP-TV in the Tampa/St. Petersburg market, OMG! Magazine in central and south Florida, and the monthly periodicals department of the Pensacola News Journal. As a freelancer, he has interviewed talent and worked alongside such worldwide broadcasters as CBS, BBC and NRK. He started his job experience at the Wikimedia Foundation (the organization which runs Wikipedia) as a communications intern.
Christopher Taylor DavisMy name is Christopher Taylor Davis. I am currently finishing my BA in Women and Gender Studies at East Carolina University, in Greenville, NC. Next fall, I hope to continue my education in order to receive my MA and PhD. In the future I hope to be a professor and director of a Women's, Gender, and GLBT program. My topics of interest are Gay and Lesbian Studies, Women and Gender Studies, Race, Religion, Politics and Parenting. I am currently working on my undergraduate thesis, "Working the System: Understanding the process in which Gays and Lesbians become adoptive parents in North Carolina." My hope is that my thesis will be helpful in better understanding Gay and Lesbian adoptions in North Carolina. I will continue to further my understanding and research of gay and lesbian issues, women's issue, as well issues related to race and inequality.

Larry GrossLarry Gross is a freelance writer. After 30 years of being an accountant, in October 1997, Gross decided to change his career path and pursue a lifelong ambition of being a professional writer. Within only a few weeks, he sold an essay to the GLBT News, a monthly newspaper in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thereafter, other publications started picking up his stories including CityBeat, an award winning alternative newsweekly in Cincinnati. In the spring of 1999, he became one of their regular contributing writers. In the fall of 2003, Gross became a columnist. He writes and/or edits CityBeat’s “Living Out Loud” column. From 2008 through 2010, he was also a regular contributor to Streetvibes – a newspaper published twice a month by the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless. Beginning in April of 2011, Gross became a regular contributor to Article 25, a new alternative newspaper in Cincinnati. While still continuing his “Living Out Loud” column in CityBeat, beginning in February of 2012, Gross also started writing a column for Article 25 entitled “The Human Condition.” In September of 2008, the Society of Professional Journalists recognized his work for “The Pretenders” – a cover story on the musical group, The Ohio Express which appeared in CityBeat. He was awarded the prize for excellence in journalism in arts and entertainment. In September of 2009, the Society of Professional Journalists awarded Gross another prize for excellence in journalism for his CityBeat column “Living Out Loud.” From 2007 through 2009, Gross taught creative writing at the Recovery Center’s Writer’s Workshop in Cincinnati. Gross is the author of two books: Signed,Sealed and Delivered, a collection of short stories and Living Out Loud, a collection of essays from his CityBeat column. Rick BoruttaRick Borutta studied alchemical healing traditions with Lorie Dechar (www.fivespirits.com) and Benjamin Fox (www.anewpossibility.com) His own journey of personal transformation began in NYC theater, followed by filmmaking and a position with CBSNews.com, culminating in his use of astrology, writing and imaginative shadow work. Rick Borutta began his professional career in live theater. He managed productions across the globe for Tommy Tune and Elaine Stritch, with whom he appears in the HBO documentary Elaine Stritch at Liberty. His own non-fiction films include Beauty from our Hands, a Cannes Short Film Corner selection set in Cape Town South Africa. His first film Tomorrow is Today was created with classmates from Hunter College and the University of Cape Town. In the works is a third short SA film about a sangoma medicine man, and a feature-length narrative screenplay titled Let Me Be Sky. Other subjects Rick has produced for film include Kitty Carlisle Hart, Larry Kramer, therapy dogs and ghosts. Rick was a producer at CBSNews.com for five years where he created interactive media experiences for viewers including Backstage Live, special event pages and projects for 60 Minutes and 48 Hours. His experience with alchemical healing comes from participation in workshops at Esalen, Easton Mountain and other retreats in the New York tri-state area with facilitators including Lorie Dechar, Benjamin Fox, Kai Ehrhardt, Kevin Kortan and Christian de la Huerta. Active in LGBT community support, Rick helped create ANGLE – the Affinity Network for GLBT Employees – to support workplace diversity at CBS Corp nationwide. In addition, he supports www.mankindpride.com, as an out gay man volunteering time for The Mankind Project, an international men’s organization dedicated to men’s initiation into authentic leadership, power and inner growth. Oliver OcampoOliver lives in a two-bedroom apartment 15 minutes away from downtown Baguio City. He did a stint as a radio jock for a couple of months just because he wanted to try it out. He hosted The Weekend Countdown over at K-Lite and co-hosted two other shows, Heart to Heart with Dana Grey and K-Lite Interactive with Hanna Grace. He is also the host of OrangeinaPod, a weekly Pinoy pop culture/lifestyle podcast exploring the fun and quirkiness of living in the not-so-friendly metro. Podcasting from Baguio City, Philippines, Oliver talks about anything and everything from food, entertainment, gadgets and places to discover to stories of people and issues concerning the GLBT community in the Philippines and around the globe. Aside from podcasting, he does graphic design and web development and he also organizes workshops, events, etc etc. He works full time as a Learning Specialist and enjoys reading Anne Rice, JRR Tolkien, Frank Herbert and Dan Brown in his spare time...
