After years of searching for the role that would produce lasting satisfaction, joy, and contentment, I surprisingly found it in 2011 when I became a mother. Motherhood has taken an interesting toll on me. I no longer desire to become an influential corporate executive or a superintendent of a large school district. Rather, I love everything mommy and am not ashamed to admit it. A retired fashionista who doesn't need to put on lipstick and mascara for a quick run to the grocery store anymore, I now find comfort in yoga pants and sweatshirts which make it much easier to romp with a very active and sweet toddler. I embrace the art of homemaking and work very hard to serve my family and community. When I am not managing the home and caring for my daughter, you will see me curled up to a good book, training for that next race, or watching Morning Joe on MSNBC.
  • Hailey Mahan
Hailey is a twenty-something that loves to cook, clean, craft, and anything homemaking. Usually a drink is nearby. She recently switched from the law school track to moving to the East Coast to go to Grad School to pursue her dreams. How sweet, huh? But, it can be hard to concentrate at her paralegal job with so many recipes online! She currently lives in Dayton, Ohio (about an hour north of Cincinnati) and when she is not homemaking or working she enjoys her other old lady hobby of collecting silent film memorabilia. She also is a big fan of nightlife, wine (or just alcohol in general), fashion, old movies, True Blood, Mad Men, and new restaurants. She hopes to one day bring her know-how to twenty-something, single girls everywhere who just want a single serving of baked mac & cheese and to know why their tomato plants keep on dying!
  • Jordon Wilhelm
The short version: I am not your typical 25 year old gal. I'm a young housewife, married to a law enforcement officer. My 'raising' as they call it, was done by a residential contractor/landlord & a cake decorator. To say my interest are varied & vast is quite an understatement. I was taught to live a practical, bordering on frugal, life. I thank my pop for this every single day, as it has enabled me to manage a household on a rather small budget. Follow me for tips on modern homemaking, as well as the journey to renovate & maintain our mid-century ranch.
