I am a 37 year old married mother of 4 children ranging in age from 2 months to 14 years. We all live in Upstate New York with our 2 dogs Tommy and Tony, the cat Hershey, and the apparently immortal lovebird Forrest. Between soccer, volleyball, school activities, home life, and my regular 9-5 job I attempt to achieve a harmonious balance between.....ah, who am I kidding? It s a crazed, busy, constantly on-the-go life that I wouldn t change for the world!
  • Ginger Voight
In addition to being a freelance writer and author, Ginger Voight is an optioned screenwriter who has completed eight feature length screenplays since 2002. This prolific novelist has several ebook and print editions of her work available, including the edgy, coming-of-age drama DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, and the fun family adventure for kids of all ages, COMIC SQUAD. Having grown up on Danielle Steel and Stephen King, Ginger both reads and writes a variety of genres from kids books to horror. Titles such as MY IMMORTAL and TASTE OF BLOOD are a delicious, heady mix of potent genres like horror, suspense and romance. Genre romance, however, has held a special place in her heart ever since she read her first Harlequin novel when she was only eleven. Today Ginger writes romances of her own, starring women who look more like the average American woman rather than those traditionally represented in the size-biased American media. Her "Real Woman Romance" Rubenesque series was created especially for those romantic heroines with fuller figures who can still get the man of their dreams if only they believe they can. Such titles include UNDER TEXAS SKIES, LOVE PLUS ONE and GROUPIE. Her contemporary, Rubenesque titles have even won her category best-selling distinctions on the All Romance e-Books website. Additionally she has published poetry in several anthologies as well as several websites, and you can find a collection of her best odes to love and heartache in JOURNEY THROUGH THE HEART. As an avid blogger, Ginger has earned a faithful following on several websites and her freelance articles build on these specialized topics of interest. Her topics cover everything from pop culture, travel, diets and weight loss, movies and books as well as news and politics. Her blog "Ginger@Large" has a socio-political bent from a Christian Progressive point of view. She has been featured on the Hal Sparks Radio Program from Chicago's Progressive Talk Radio, and occassionally m

I guess first things first,on April 26,2007, I was in a 4 person,1 fatality car accident. Me and one other man were severely injured. I broke 27 bones, multiple face and skull fractures, lost all vision in my right eye, left side of my face is paralyzed, and I had traumatic brain injury.I was in coma for a month and in physical rehab for months after that.I've had over30 surgeries since 07.My most recent was in September 2010 at Duke Medical Center for my facial paralysis. This was my 4th facial paralysis surgery.Though I can't smile on the outside,I constantly smile on the inside. For the first time in my life I'm truly happy:) I've learned alot since my wreck. I realized I'm not immortal,God is the only reason I'm alive.I forgot the meaning of "can't"and I learned to love the friends that truely love me. I also learned to get rid of alot of my "so called" friends that use to bring negativity in my life. At any moment life can change. If the Buffalo Bills can come back from a 32 point deficit to have the greatest comeback in NFL history, I can come back from this. Instead of taking the depressed route I took the "Get it Done" route.Anything Doctors told me I would never be able to do again, I've either done or I'm about too.Doctors told me I'd never be able to lift more than 200 pounds.Within 6 months I was bench pressing 365 pounds.Doctors told me I'd never walk normal or run again.Within 4 months I was running 2 miles a day. I have never been the type of man to sit on the sidelines, I get in the game and make things happen.Life is too short to have a "pity party".When life throws you a curveball, knock it over the fence.I've done alot of terrible things alcohol, drugs, ect.I've also hurt alot of people. It's never too late to change and redeem yourself.I stay positive and that makes the people around me stay positive as well.I didn't take advantage of my life before. I am really close with my family. The happiest I ever am is when I'm watching the Buffalo Bills play footba

  • Peter Gavin-Rowney
My name is Peter Gavin-Rowney, but you can call me Pete if you like -- plenty of people do. I live in the fine city of Norwich, England. In 1974 I migrated to Hollywood, California as part of my moderately successful career as Pete Gavin, drummer for British bands like Heads, Hands and Feet, Vinegar Joe, Bluesology, Jody Grind and others. There I toured repeatedly with Joe Cocker, did recording sessions, movie sound, rubbed shoulders with various showbiz luminaries from Malibu to Manhattan, and all but partied myself into oblivion by 1989. That's when I quit the music biz, cleaned up my act, married a woman with four kids and moved to small-town Ohio. In the interim I've been a sub-contractor to the US Postal Service, driven emergency vehicles, owner-operated two package delivery businesses in Ohio, Pennsylavania and West Virginia, and become a divorcee. Now semi-retired and with one failing balance organ I enjoy calling myself a writer. As a rule I'm not too free with my opinions but will trot one out if pressed. These may take the form of the rantings of an ageing rock '˜n roller, my '˜spin' on the-world-at-large, unfettered views on all matters metaphysical, or notions which hopefully won't get me sued, jailed, shot at or eternally damned. My credo draws much from the immortal words of the bard, (Red Smith -- not that other guy): "Writing is easy: All you do is sit at the typewriter and open a vein".

Communication through writing, the spoken word and visual artistry are what gives life depth. However, we must not forget that our actions should also mirror our intentions. And above all, it is love that will make us all immortal.

  • Dale De Souza
I'm new to the Yahoo Contributor thing, but I've written about MMA, Pro Wrestling and Boxing on Bleacher Report, Couch Fighter, and other various sites around the web. I've been a Pro Wrestling fan from a young age, and I gradually found MMA and Boxing along the way--and yes, I do believe that it's possible to be an MMA fan, as well as a Boxing fan and a Pro Wrestling fan. I also enjoy hip-hop music, comedies, a few horror films, dramas, TV sitcoms old (Frasier), That 70's Show) and new-ish (2 Broke Girls, New Girls, occasionally Two and a Half Men), as well as the occasional cartoon (i.e. Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, etc.) When I'm not here, you can follow me on Twitter (@DaleDeSouza--and FYI, the majority of my tweets are either random or NSFW to an extent) or you can find me on Facebook! If you all have any opinions, I'm interested in hearing them--that's why I do this stuff, and that's why I rather like this stuff :-)
