Born and raised a Hoosier, I now live in Michigan on the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. As a former newspaper editor, I have 13 Associated Press Better Newspaper Awards tucked away in the closet. I have moonlighted as a freelance photojournalist and graphic artist for more than 20 years. Two of my photographs are in the permanent collection of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. I was also named a 2010 Hoosier Women Artist by Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman. My incredibly patient husband and I have been married 32 years. We have two wonderful sons and one equally wonderful daughter-in-law.

I have worked as a probation officer for the last 7 years in Indiana. Prior to this I worked for 2 different juvenile facilities for delinquents.
