The Old Kazoo Maker was born and raised in the western North Carolina foothills. He grew up in an atmosphere rich in traditional bluegrass/ folk music and was exposed to a treasure chest of Carolina traditional handmade folk instruments, folk artist and musicians. "My first store bought instrument as an old beat up Kay acoustic guitar when I was about 10 years old and learned the three major folk chords. D, E and C. I got my first store bought kazoo at the county fair by throwing a wooden ring around a post that had a red metal kazoo strapped to it with a rubber band. Man I was humming in high cotton!" In the late 90's he began to follow his childhood passion as a folk artist of handmade traditional style folk instruments. In 2010 he moved his focus to creating unique handmade traditional Carolina style folk kazoos and established the Great ASWEGO Kazoo Factory on the Homestead at Lake Senica, Florida. His kazoos are acclaimed around the world for their unique beauty and exceptional sound qualities. They are known as the best of the best wooden kazoo. He is also an independent folk musician and songwriter. In 2010 he released his first album of original folk songs, "Across The River", on the AsWeGo Homestead Studio Independent Label. His second album, "Don't Be Kazooless" is planned for completion spring of 2012. You are invited to visit the Old Kazoo Maker on YouTube and the Factory Blog.

Writer. Musician. Lover. Fighter. I use to run an online magazine (frantikmag.com) as editor in chief. I primarily wrote articles based on a wide range of topics including product reviews, cycling, cancer, automotive, sex tips, movie reviews, animals, charities, cd reviews, photography, technology, fashion, modeling and many more. I also did all interviews for the site. On the side, I do PR work for a few local bands and have gotten write-ups in both print and online magazines and sites such as Blabbermouth.net, Asian Journal, Bravewords.com, Metal Underground, Dangerdog.com and more. I'm a self-taught writer that shoots from the hip with wax poetry always in mind. With enough info and research, there is literally nothing that I cannot write about. My passion for writing vastly outnumbers my passion for everything else. I'm a father to a 3 year-old boy and husband of 11 years. I take my writing seriously and believe that writing should be an art form rather than a task or hobby. I am currently going to school for certification in PR and Marketing and plan on having a career in the entertainment industry or music industry. I also love photography and do photography work on the side as well for DJ's, bands and models. I can play a number of instruments and can write songs in my sleep. I'm deeply interested in topics within music, technology, current events, celebrity, events and a whole lot more. I am your writer. I am the writer you've been looking for. You know when they said you're born with it? Well, in no bragging way or cocky way, I was born to write.

I'm also willing to try others. I'm being heavily educated in music and wind instruments. I don't act like I know everything, and I use mostly personal experience for any type of article. Hope any readers enjoy!

I am an expert in the field of musical instruments from every aspect. Having grown up with a passion of history and a passion for music the blend of the two topics has really produced an interesting perspective on the industry. While the actual musical instruments have been my primary focus I am incredibly intrigued with the evolution of the music industry (especially on the jazz and commercial side) from the 1920's to today. In addition to music in general, I have had the opportunity of starting and running my own business. I believe I have a perspective of being an entrepreneur that will offer a an entertaining read for people. Especially running a small business in this economy! Many other interests and experiences that I have had over the years have absolutely provided me a unique voice. I hope to be able to share some interesting topics with you.

I am a student of Economics and Mathematics, crossing fingers to transfer to Reed College for the time being. I hope to become a hopeless postsecondary academic for the rest of my life; I love wrangling over polemics and citing ancient Titans of philosophy and science in casual conversation. I ride a motorcycle and love stringed and free-reed instruments of all kinds.
