Nicole PellegriniMy greatest passions in life are art, food, music, and travel - all of which I love to combine whenever possible for the most fun and excitement. Living in the Philadelphia area for over 15 years, I have much experience with the cultural aspects of the city, and have also traveled extensively around the United States, Italy, and the Caribbean. My educational background is as varied as my current interests. I received a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1994, where I focused on fermentation technology and biochemistry. I received my PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999, where I studied polymer science. A change in goals and lifestyle lead me to then pursue a career in the arts. I studied classical oil painting techniques at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and numerous art workshops and ateliers. My mother and I began an art gallery/jewelry store in Philadelphia, which we ran together for 8 years. A self-employed "Jane of All Trades," I work today as an artist, crafter, property manager and freelance writer. I also enjoy web design and run several websites for my favorite music and media "fandoms," including the official website for actor John Glover. I live with my partner and our six feline companions in a rural area of Gloucester County, New Jersey, which has been a wonderful change of pace from hectic city life.
