LAOS

Lome Puttasath is a self taught writer. As a young girl, she spent countless hours reading Stephen King books and taught herself how to write the English language properly. Lome was born in Laos, but grew up in Hawaii and is now residing in the Sunshine state. When not caring for her daughter full time, she enjoys stargazing and scary movies.

I write, and i am good at it

In 1991 I graduated with a BA(Hons)in English and History. Between 1992 and 1999, I worked as a voluntary shop manager for Oxfam, an overseas aid charity. During the years, 2000 and 2001, I studied and completed the Trinity College Cambridge certificate in TESOL - Teaching English to Speakers of Other languages. I have used it to teach English in Japan and China where I've also budget travelled widely. I've also travelled in Laos, Cambodia Thailand and VIetnam.

Born to a French Canadian family in Souther Ontario. Spent my life traveling. A student of life. Backpacked across Canada making memories and friends along the way. Traveled 6 months in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia eating bugs, sleeping on the beach and kyaking on the Mekong river. Worked in hospitality in Canada's beautiful British Columbia and the oil fields of Alberta. Taught English as a Second Language in The Peoples Republic of China for two years. Currently living in China engaged to a Chinese Fitness Instructor in Changchun, Jilin Province, China

JP Homson has been working as a freelance writer since 2002. Previously, JP was a federal Civil Rights investigator, working for the US Department of Health and Human Services from 1992 to 2002. JP is a former police officer, and he served in the US Army from 1984 to 1987. A native of Laos, JP immigrated to the United States of America in 1979 when he was a teenager and became a US citizen in 1989. Currently, he lives in Florida.

I am a student in the classroom and the greater world. At UCLA I learn some stuff from books, but I prefer the lessons that I encounter in the everyday--whether that's getting lost in LA or stranded in Laos, there's always a decent story and hopefully some good eats at the end of every adventure.

Born in Santa Monica, California, Justin is the oldest of three boys. Team sports were a fundamental part of his youth and his love of sport has carried into his adult life. He has great interests in the earth at large and believes that seeing the world isn't just a hobby but a requisite for anyone wanting to live an enlightened life. During these pursuits over a 10 year period, I became aware that the foundations in my own life were still inadequate, even though I was by now very experienced, academically sufficient and generally successful in life. I yearned for the "missing link" which would not only sustain me but also bring me into the position of imparting my experiences and education to others. To some extent, I have fulfilled this yearning but there is still much to do; there is a wider community worldwide now desperate to make a bridge to cross the increasing rift between abject poverty and sustainability. These past thirty years have thus witnessed the desperate needs of humanity both in the "third" and "first worlds", as they have also witnessed the ever increasing needs within the indigenous populations of these "worlds" to grasp at faith, albeit even a religious faith of some kind. Remember "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen"; things not yet seen physically but in the "mind's eye", but available to grasp. Since 2004 my missionary work in South East Asia has exposed me to teaching, life coaching and mentoring on humanitarian issues relating to spiritual, life and social challenges faced by individuals and groups in Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. I have a particular interest in the Philippines and Thailand, where I now live and see a tremendous market opportunity with a powerful, humanitarian impact in pushing an education philosophy encompassing the Lao Tzu proverb "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime." Life

I have spent most of my life sun bathing on the beaches of Destin, Florida. I am a semi-new college graduate (2007) with a degree in Psychology.
