Mary DesantisMary is a recent college graduate of Merrimack College with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in communication studies. While in college, Mary also discovered her passion for classic literature, specifically Homer, Milton, and Shakespeare. She looks at literature from as unique a perspective as she can and enjoys bringing new light to old controversies. Outside of the academic arena, Mary's passions are singing, musical theatre, writing, and reading. Mary has been singing her entire life and has attended several choral singing conventions (including the Massachusetts All State and MENC All Eastern Mixed Choir). Mary has been acting in school and community theatre productions for almost a decade and loves being on stage. Writing is Mary's main mode of expression. It is how she communicates what is important to her. This expression often comes in the form of fiction or, occasionally, poetry but can be non-fiction as well. In addition, but in no way a hindrance, to all of the above, Mary is also legally blind and has been her entire life. Unlike some, Mary does not believe in letting her disability stop her from doing what she loves. She; however, also does not believe in letting her disability consume her until it is all she cares about. It is a part of her life that she simply works around. Yes, it is a challenge, but those challenges have left Mary with an understanding of life and an appreciation for what she has. Mary currently resides in Massachusetts and has her entire life.

Ric OvertonRetail professional specializing in Social Media solutions for small businesses. I love music and have been involved in music most of my life. I am originally from the south eastern United States and I have enjoyed all kinds of music. Gospel music has been my favorite music for many years but, I also love Jazz, Classical, Country, Opera and Easy Listening. I opened my own piano store in July of 2007 and lost it in 2010 due to the downturn in the economy. Music education has been a passion of mine since early days in the piano business. My hope is that I can in some way make it possible to see the music business rebound from a very difficult economy. The Piano Social Directory has been designed to bring music enthusiasts and piano lovers together to ask questions, possibly be educated about pianos and music education. I hope I am able to bring you many useful and interesting articles that will help you with a possible decision about owning a musical instrument in your home. Ric Overton
KirabellaI am a fiery red headed musical theatre fanatic with rock and roll embedded in her soul. I also have Cerebral Palsy and am trying to change the world in spite of the naysayers. Its all going to happen one word and one note at a time.
Lori JoffsI consider myself to be an ultimate fan of many pop culture phenomena. I hold degrees in Musical Theatre Performance as well as Education. I am the creator of The Twilight Lexicon and have spent the last four years living in the Twilight Zone! I have two amazing kids and one very loud dog.
Mike ThomasI am an expert in the field of musical instruments from every aspect. Having grown up with a passion of history and a passion for music the blend of the two topics has really produced an interesting perspective on the industry. While the actual musical instruments have been my primary focus I am incredibly intrigued with the evolution of the music industry (especially on the jazz and commercial side) from the 1920's to today. In addition to music in general, I have had the opportunity of starting and running my own business. I believe I have a perspective of being an entrepreneur that will offer a an entertaining read for people. Especially running a small business in this economy! Many other interests and experiences that I have had over the years have absolutely provided me a unique voice. I hope to be able to share some interesting topics with you.
Alayna-Renee VilmontI'm a liberal-minded artist and performer living in the Atlanta, GA area. I suppose you can say that makes me a round blue peg in a square red hole. Never one to like sitting still, I've lived in 5 major cities and aboard one cruise line before moving from NYC to Atlanta, GA, where I've lived for the past 8 years. I've a B.A. in Musical Theatre, which means I sing, dance, act, play two instruments and speak 5 languages. A performer and free-spirit since the age of 6, I know a lot of interesting people and have a million not-that-boring stories. And yet, corporate America still is not calling with offers of fortune, fame, and BMW's. Currently, I work as I'm a freelance web and graphic artist who dabbles in just about anything creative. In my spare time, I run a large social group in the Atlanta area. I enjoy trying new restaurants, nights out on the town with friends, attending cultural events, travelling, reading, making snarky observations in my blog, playing bar trivia, film, and reality TV. I have a fabulous boyfriend, an introverted dog, and a crazy-but-loveable roommate. One day, I'd really like to move to the beach and open a martini bar on an island somewhere. There, I will regale tourists with stories of my not-really-that-boring life adventures. : "One time, I wrote this fabulous article for Associated Content...." Well, we'll see. Oh, and I spend way too much time on Facebook! Friend me there. :)

Michael MirraIf there's one thing that I truly cannot live without it would be 'musical theatre' - To me, there is no frigate quite like it; sitting in the house, or walking the boards, sharing stories through song or dialogue. Nothing can compare.
