    Born and raised in communist Cuba until the age of 14, while his father, a political prisoner was being tortured by the communist regime. Escaped to the US in 1980, and after High School and some college volunteered for the US Navy Submarine Force in 1987, where he served two decades during war and peace times. Rose from submarine's technician level up to Engineering System's Analyst, Engineering Repairs Planner, Curriculum Developer, and Technical Instructor. In the last years he has also been a civilian Project Manager, Production Coordinator, and his last position is Senior Technical Instructor for a large government organization in Washington D.C. He is married, and his dedication, ingenuity and forward thinking has allowed him to rise from the poverty he and his family were submerged into when they first arrived in the US, to an upper middle class life today by just working very hard and lots of sacrifices.

    I am 29 years old, and I was born in Louisville, Kentucky ,however I was raised in Tampa Bay,FL where I continue to reside now. I am married and have 3 children 8,2 and 3. Besides trying to keep up with my toddlers around the house, I like to stay involved in my community however possible. I was in the U.S Navy for 3 years, however I was injured and now am medically retired. I went back to school and received my degree in December of 2009. I am now pursuing a Journalism degree at the University of South Florida. My youngest child Andy has Down Syndrome a subject I had no clue about until his birth; Since then I have studied and researched Down's and even work as a volunteer with his school with special needs children.

    Military: Before entering college, Phil Richardson served four years in the US Navy as a Fire Control Technician (radar controlled guns) and traveled all over the world visiting all the continents except Australia and including Antarctica. He has written a book about his time in the Navy. Professional: Phil Richardson is now retired from Ohio University where he was the Director of the Language Resource Center (now named the Richardson Language Resource Center). As the director, he decided on purchases of computer and media equipment, supervised students, and taught methods of teaching languages and the use of media in language teaching. He has written several chapters in books on media methodology. Fiction: Phil Richardson has written over 150 short stories including mysteries, science fiction, magic realism, horror, and literary short stories. He lives in Athens, Ohio with his wife, Joyce, who is also a writer. Two of his stories were nominated for Pushcart Prize in Fiction award and several stories have placed in or won fiction contests.
