Hello! My name is Pilar and I am a writer. Ever since I was little, I'd always ask for notebooks an write my own magazines and short stories. I am a UCF and UM graduate. My bachelor of arts is in Radio & Television, my first Masters is in Mass Communication and my second Masters is in Film Studies, hence why this is my first interest and area of expertise. My favorite films of all time vary greatly, depending on what they have to say and how they say it. It is modern art at its best, with so many elements coming together to tell a story: color, pictures, music, storytelling. It is fascinating! The military spouse topic is because I recently got married to someone in the Navy. He is currently deployed and figured my experience as a Navy wife with a husband away doing his job is worth writing down. It is a struggle, and it can be a lonely one. But here's hoping the writing can be useful not only to me but to other spouses as well!
