I was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica. I am the author of the book, "You Walked With Me" it is a collection of poems. Poems originated from the lives shared with me by friends, family, strangers, and people who just cross my path, and that is why I named it you walked with me. I am from a family of 12, eight brothers, three sisters and I sit in the middle. I am mother of three beautiful girls and two adorable & outstanding granddaughters. I love my life and I share it with a wonderful and special person and my family. For all the bad and good experiences I have had, being a writer, I would say - "It is another chapter in the book" and I turn the pages!! The world is yours live life to the full and love to the full and never be selfish! Love you all!! I found out in 2007 that I have Ulcerative Colitis and living with this condition has been challenging for the past few years. So I decide to document the recipes that I create in order to prevent flare-ups and to get the nutrition that I need for my body to stay healthy. My illness has inspired me to work on producing a cook book for healthy living with UC. My book "You Walked With Me" it is a collection of poems that was written based on every one that crossed my path and their stories and so my poems can speak with almost anyone. following are excerpts from a poem I wrote after my brother's wife died and after he told me how he felt when he got the call from the hospital. It's named "Are You Really Gone": It was a call, A call he got,..That call that makes him ask, Are You really gone?. A few hours ago he kissed he

Born in Brussels, Belgium, during WWII I grew up in South of France, in Saint Tropez and lived ther until I went to the army. Then I worked in Paris for a few years (in door to door sales) and after for the US Army. I met my wife to be in Normandy and we moved to the East Coast (upstate NY). we lived ther 7 years. I was deeply involved in the new car business as a factory sales and technical manager then managing Director of a large multiple new car dealership in Southern Connecticut. We had 4 children (all US citizen). we moved back to Europe. There I worked again in the automobile world for a while, in Marketing and Advertising. But my passion for selling with printed words remained the strongest and I became involved in helping big international companies selling more with strong mailing campaigns. I have done billions of mailings, from concept and creation to copywriting, to printing to mailing and to analyses results. This gave me the opportunity to travel all over the world and acquire direct marketing, marketing and sales experience second to none. We lived in many of those countries, from Europe to China to Africa. Now we are back in the US, on the West Coast and I am looking to sell my abilities to sell to businesses here, whatever small or large. And I have handled all the media (print, press, TV, radio, video and more). I grew up in an artistic environment as my father, who passed away a few years back, is a very well know artist in Europe with paintings in many museums in the world, including NY, London, Beyrouth, Munich, paris and many more.

"Before you [write], think... will it improve on the silence?" -Sri Sathya Sai Baba (1926) I believe... A happy spirit needs a healthy body to live in. Peace is already here inside of us, waiting to be found. Kindness is the only way to real success. We must try to do what we cannot do in order to grow stronger. I love... Music that touches my soul. Dancing all night long. Being happy for no reason. Learning new things. Helping others. Taking care of myself. Being with family. Writing about what is in my heart. Traveling and going on adventures. Singing the good and honest truth. Trying to play piano.

Languages have always been a passion of mine. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I love to read and write in both languages. When I was in high school (many years ago) I was a Rotary exchange student and spent a year of high school in Caracas, Venezuela. I returned to the States to finish high school, and continue my studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook where I majored in History, and minored in English and Spanish. After college I spent more than eleven years editing, researching and writing in Spanish language and English language media, and business research. During that time I also obtained my Master's degree in education. I am currently certified to teach English grades 7 -12, Spanish grades 1 - 12 and Childhood education grades 1 - 6. I'm a mom of two wonderful children. Currently I am married and live on Long Island, New York where I enjoy writing, reading, yoga, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. My motto "be who you are, and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Suess

Like most, I used to struggle to make ends meet. Striving to earn extra income, I started learning and experimenting with Internet Marketing in 2004. My success has come not despite those who said I was living in cloud cuckoo land, but because of them. Simply put, I knew I could do it and set out to prove the doubters wrong. I was extremely motivated to succeed, in order to build a better life for myself and those closest to me. After persevering for 6 long years, learning all I could and getting very little sleep, my due diligence paid off and I started to make real money online -- and it hasn't stopped since!

I grew up in Oklahoma City in the 1940s and 1950s. The 40s --- the "Dick and Jane" years --- were an ideal time to be a child; and the naive, innocent 50s were, truly, Happy Days. Granted, I had an unbelievably sheltered childhood (there's a certain horrific vulgarism which even 5-year-olds now use with abandon that I didn't hear until I was 22!), but I don't think that was unusual in those days. Oklahoma City was very strictly segregated, and one of the things I remember being curious about was white families cruising the streets of our neighborhood on weekends. They didn't seem menacing or threatening; just curious, even admiring. What I've come to learn is that Edwards Addition, the suburb in which I grew up, was one of the first planned communities in the country---and maybe the very first one by and for African Americans. So, it was widely publicized, and people knew about it; but to us, it was just Home. After college in California, I returned to Oklahoma City until I moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1967. I've also lived in (in chronological order): Seattle, San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Albuquerque, and San Diego. I now live in Los Angeles. Within the next few months, I'll probably return to Oklahoma City for good, for two reasons: First of all, my income now is a fraction of what it was even a couple of years ago, and Los Angeles is a frightfully expensive city in which to live. But, maybe even more importantly: I can't believe what a cosmopolitan, sophisticated city Oklahoma City has become. "Sophisticated" and "Oklahoma City" in the same sentence? Who'd-a thunk it? But it's true: My hometown is very rapidly becoming an exciting, world-class metropolis! And for much less than I pay now for a raggedy studio apartment in a ramshackle building in a decidedly unfashionable section of L.A., I could get a 2-bedroom apartment in a trendy part of OKC. Or, maybe even buy a little house in Edwards Addition.

On January First of this new decade, I made a promise and commitment to myself: write daily. Procrastinating about this for years, I finally recognized that, like any other talent, writing skills take practice and perseverance. I hope to use this site, its members and my newly established blog to help me put forth the effort it will take to attain the goal of calling myself a writer. I've put it off long enough. I live in New England, never having moved from the town in which I grew up. It's not as nice as it was then, and with much more traffic and housing development, it's lost its small town appeal for me. Plus, I no longer enjoy the cold. Someday I'd like to live in a climate where I rarely, if ever, see snow. North Carolina, maybe-near the coast. I currently work as a secretary in the town board of ed system, scheduling organizations to use our school facilities for activities; scouting, youth sports, drama productions, etc. The job is enjoyable, has lots of benefits and pays pretty well. Finding work like this in another location might be difficult and it's probably the biggest reason I've not yet moved away. I have two grown kids from my first marriage, a twenty four year old daughter and twenty two year old son. I will have been married eight years in June to my second husband, a hot Italian who gives his full support to my pursuit of writing. Three years ago, my daughter moved to LA after college, leaving us with her four parakeets. I'd never had birds before and wasn't overly enthusiastic about the prospect of taking them. I sort of put them in the same category as fish. Nice to look at but not much else. It didn't take long for them to change my mind and capture my heart, and now I really enjoy their noise and antics. I think I'll be sharing my home with feathered friends for many years to come.
