I am 57 yrs old, born in a small farming community of Orange,Va. I have always loved drawing and painting. I wanted to become a Nun and took an LPN course so that I could work in the missions , but my family talked me out of it.I worked as a nurse for 30 yrs. before retiring in 2008. I obtained a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from VCU in 1993. I wanted to write children s books and do all of the illustrations. I also wanted to create editorial art for magazines and newspapers. However, this just would not happen so I returned to nursing until 2008 . I wanted to become a minister following several spiritual experiences and I was church ordained in 1998. Since then I have officiated in a number of weddings and one funeral. After the ordination, nursing took on new meaning for me. It became a ministry. Now that I am retired , I am becoming a writer. I have one book on the shelves, called To Help Lost Souls Find Home , and another almost completed, for Schiffer Publishing. I hope that it will be out in the fall.I see the writing as a ministry also, as it has the potential to change lives or to enrich them. From 1989 until 1996 he taught Old Testament Survey, New Testament Literature and General Psychology as an adjunct faculty for Alpena Community College Huron Shores Campus. He owned and operated a Christian book store from 1989 to 1992. He received his ordination into ministry from Shalom Ministry, Inc. in August 2002. From April 2001 until March 2008 he was the program director at the Guiding Light Mission where over five hundred men made professions of their faith in Jesus. He is currently working as a free lance writer with articles published in Steps, Breakthrough Intercessor, Churchmouse Publications, The Christian Journal, and Associated Content. He has been married for 35 years and has four grown children, and five grandchildren. He enjoys gardening, fishing, and writing.

I am employed as a professional industrial mechanic, having worked in this or similar trades for 25 years. I have also been involved in construction contracting as a side interest for most of my working life, which explains my interest in business management and leadership, two areas I have studied a great deal over the years. Writing is my hobby, but reading is one of my all-time favorite things. I almost became a monk of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church after high school, but instead wound up married for the last 25 years with four children. I am currently preparing to begin a two year study program that could eventually lead to my ordination to deacon or even priesthood within the Holy Orthodox Christian Church.
