Greetings! My name's Gregory, but please call me Greg. I'm a native and current resident of Oakland, CA, and have lived in the Bay Area my entire life. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from UC Berkeley and am a Certified Sommelier. I've worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the now-defunct Nuclear Astrophysics Division, and have ran my own wine shop. Even though I'm a fan of baseball in general, my allegiance belongs to the Oakland A's, I usually attend 30-40 games of theirs a year. I'm an admitted music snob, tending to enjoy the experimental and jazz styles the most, and I've been playing the bass guitar for 15 years. For the last year I've been voluntarily unemployed; having decided to spend some time just relaxing and enjoying life.

I am currently a mechanical engineering graduate student and research associate with interests pertaining to turbulent flows, combustion processes, and optical diagnostics for aerospace measurements. I have a BS in Engineering Physics and undergraduate research experience in academia and at a government laboratory.

Zachary is a Physics and Electrical Engineering student at New Mexico Tech. Learning new things is what he does best, having worked for kgb_ as a Special Agent sending out answers to questions texted in from all over the world. Zachary's main interests are technology, computers, music and science. He enjoys playing guitar, and building/modifying/repairing computers in his spare time.

Daniel currently works in Tanzania as Logistics Officer for Global Cycle Solutions, working to deliver pedal-power technologies to rural communities in the developing world. Previously, he served as a Peace Corps education volunteer in Kenya teaching chemistry, math, agriculture and physics in the village of Mwakitau on the Mombasa-Arusha road. He also worked on the organizing staff for the International Development & Design Summit (IDDS) in 2008 and has resumed his work at the conference. Daniel holds SB degrees in Mathematics and Physics from MIT. During his time at MIT, he worked at the Public Service Center where he was an Events Coordinator and later Service Learning Assistant. He also worked as a Teaching Assistant in the physics department and a tutor in the math department. MIT also provided him with the opportunity to perform fieldwork in India and Ghana. Daniel was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, just west of Chicago and graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in 2004.

I am a student who will graduate from MIT in 2014 with a degree in physics. This education gives me a cutting-edge knowledge of the problems and advancements in physics and engineering in today's world. I also have work experience in a Bioengineering lab at MIT, giving me real-life experience with some of the problems and questions facing engineers and physicists today. This scientific background enables me to write rigorously and correctly on fields pertaining to science and technology. Beyond science and technology, my interests include reading and writing fiction, running, and directing and acting in theater. I speak good French and some German and Swedish.

My name is Dominic, but most who know me call me Dom. I am a recent graduate from Southampton University where I studied a Masters course in Physics, achieving First Class Honours. I now work as a Civil Servant in the UK. I enjoy travelling 'on a shoestring' whilst abroad but also domestic travelling and camping in the UK.
