  • G.K. Warren
Warren was fortunate enough to grow up in Pittsburgh where he was spoiled by the success of the Steelers, Pirates, Pitt Panthers, and occasionally the Penguins. The local teams were so good, he didn't have to find teams outside of Pittsburgh to root for. Paying for that dearly now with the Pirates, but that's the way it is.

  • Mikhail P. Schalk
I am an independent writer/director. I have a number of film productions planned in the writing stages with a Computer-Animated movie titled The Last Patriarch at the forefront. I'm a fluent user of Blender, the free, open-source computer graphics application that allows me to work out my ideas visually when I can find time. My personal production blog details all my on-going projects: http://patriarchproduction.com My film work is currently on hold at the moment though. I'm currently working on a story called The Caves which will be released online in serialized episode format. I'm also learning to paint because I want it to be as much of a visual experience as a literary one when it goes online this summer. I'm an avid TV and Movie aficionado. I enjoy all genres and am always attempting to learn new things. My interests, as a result are broad and ever-changing but I tend to enjoy complex subject matter with intricate plot twists and really good characters. Great visual effects and a good soundtrack also go a long way. The Dark Knight, both Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, Casino Royale, any of the Star Wars movies, The Lion King, Indiana Jones, Lady and the Tramp, Bandslam, Casablanca, The Bourne Ultimatum, Down With Love, Star Trek, and Gone With the Wind are some of my favorite movies. My favorite TV Shows are HOUSE, LOST, Battlestar Galactica (off-air), The Wire (off-air), 24 (off-air), Secret Life of the American Teenager, Community, The Office, Gossip Girl, Rescue Me, The Closer, Damages, and 90210. I've been studying film and writing independently since I was 8 so I hope to share some of my vast knowledge and experiences of the fiction writing process and other topics I come upon in my study of life and the universe to become a better writer.

  • ChloĆ© Trammel
I'm a smart, ambitious, babelicious California girl. I would characterize myself as a pretty chill person and one very lucky duck. I like to be obnoxious, notorious, and I like to make people laugh. I'm interested in everything fabulous, fashionable and far out. Thanks to equal parts dedication and mischief, I graduated from Southern Virginia University with degrees in English and Art. With any luck, I will soon be making my living writing novels for the benefit of mankind. I enjoy good music, summer days, and art museums. I also enjoy anything related to pirates. I love reading, eating, and watching John Cusack movies. I spend most of my free time plotting and scheming ideas for characters, stories, designs, outfits, paintings, adventures, essays, screenplays, concert posters, jokes..... I'm very happily married to Tommy, and we have a cat named Django. We live in Texas at the moment, but who knows where we'll end up. It's hard to tell with us.

I have worked with the US Postal Service, Census Bureau, Air National Guard, and Army Reserve. I left government service to help care for an elderly uncle. My lifelong Marine friends talked me into attending Renaissance Faires as pirates, where we terrorize stage acts with sharp wit and steady heckling.

  • Alexander Hearn
Alex Hearn Alex was born and grew up in one of the oldest and most historic cities in the country (Quincy, MA). Alex first had his own encounter with the unknown at the young age of 12. He has been interested and trying to learn more about and search for Cryptids ever since. Alone, hiking out of the White Mountains of New Hampshire on a cold winter day in 1973, Alex had an encounter that changed his life forever. What happened is a story he will never forget and has told many times over the airwaves and in print (Phoenix Magazine, Oct 2009). Somewhere between towns of Lincoln and Pittsburg with 3 small dogs in tow, Alex was followed for over two hours by something that stayed just out of view but within earshot of heavy footfalls and branches being snapped. For a distance of over 2 miles Alex played cat and mouse with something that seemed both intelligent and curious. Although terrified at the time, Alex later felt maybe he had the encounter wrong, and that whatever followed him might have actually been making sure he made it out of the forest safely. Although the creature in question seemed to be able to move very fast when it wanted to, it mirrored his steps all the way to the forest road Alex was trying to reach. Once Alex reached the road, the creature didn't follow any more. When Alex started college, he lived in another historic, and mysterious city ~ Salem, MA. In Salem Alex met and associated with some of the most interesting of characters, like Salem's official witch Laurie Cabot. Alex learned the true history of the area, as Salem is also considered one of the most haunted cities in the country. Its history goes back to the 16th century. For a time both Salem and Quincy were home to many pirates and sailors. There are related stories about both cities, tales of giant fish and sea monsters. Having grown up and worked on the water, Alex owned a boat for most of his life. This is also where he experienced some giants of

  • SJ Cole
I was born into an athletic environment. Victoria Jones, formerly of the Georgia Bulldogs basketball team, is my cousin. My father was a local three sport athlete known as "Fluke" because people seldom believed his performances humanly possible. My uncle, Gerald Cainion, set records at Seminole County High School in Donalsonville, Ga. (Home to Dan Land of the LA Raiders, Phillip Daniels of the Washington Redskins, and Bacarri Rambo of the Georgia Bulldogs). He went on to start as a running back for Morris Brown College. I began a personal relationship with sports at the age of eleven. At that time I participated in organized football, basketball, and baseball. I played against Charlie Ward as a member of the JV basketball team. His team, the Central Thomasville Yellow-Jackets, won the first meeting. My team, the Seminole County Indians, won the second meeting. In the tenth grade, I concentrated solely on football when I was designated the starting center on the varsity football team at one hundred forty two pounds (the coach liked my tenacity). The guards to my left and right were 275 and 300 pounds plus. I held All-State Nose-Tackle Gray Rollin to no tackles in the spring 1985 game against the Miller County Pirates (Home of Charles Grant). I was the starting Defensive End. By the senior year of my football campaign, I was a starter on boths sides of the ball at corner back and wide receiver and I had played every position on the field at some point in my career. I had forty-one tackles, an interception and a touchdown in three games. The interception and the touchdown came in the same game; one in which I also had nine tackles and two forced fumbles that were returned for touchdowns. I have played basketball at the local gym with Phillip Daniels, Bacarri Rambo, Nick Williams and Brandon Miller during the summers. I am a family friend of Darryl Gamble of the Georgia Bulldogs. I possess a love for all sports.
