Jamie LynnMotivated by my love of antiques and folk art, I began painting folk art portraits some 10 years ago. I was published with Sagebrush Fine Art, Penny Lane Publishers and Cass Framed Art. Although I still love painting, I have changed my medium to painting Belsnickles on chalkware. Belsnickles originate from Germany, and were adapted to America from the 1850 immigrants that came to America. Make sure you check out my website, thebelsnicklehaus.homestead.com In my spare time I love to cook and decorate my home, especially during the fall months and the holidays. Yolanda TrianaI have been dusting with flour and rolling the pin since I was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter. As an adult, I have successfully put together baking events and fundraisers for churches, fairs and community non profits, and has also been a cookware and kitchen gadget tester for many years. I attempt to write my articles with the audience in mind, making the art of cooking and baking fun and easy for everyone. One of my primary aims is to provide authentic vintage and old fashion recipes with clear instructions. Many of the older vintage recipes are sketchy indeed, consisting of a list of ingredients without specific quantities, not necessarily in order, and at best a few notations on how to put the dish together. Those make me sigh a bit. Where necessary I adapt these recipes for today's use and also adjust some of them into a healthier alternative.
Kasey TackettA self-professed junk food junkie, I struggled with obesity for most of my life until I discovered some healthy alternatives and found my happy weight. Exploring new food options, healthy alternatives, and recipes is my niche in life.

Ann GallowayOne of my favorite pastimes is sharing ideas on making life easier and fun. In the last couple of years I've gotten married, had children, lived through a real estate nightmare, lost a parent and an in-law, lost a job, experienced health issues, survived a financial disaster, and many other miracles and misfortunes. All of these experiences have brought me much wisdom and a hungry curiosity for the little things people do to make their lives better. For example, I can tell you how to keep a preschooler busy for at least 20 minutes so that you can get some faux alone time. I also know something that costs less than $3 that can keep you organized...and it's not a calendar or a piece of paper. And I can share nutritious recipes that you can prepare in a few minutes that will last you for a few days. Tips like these bring sun to a cloudy day.
