I was born and raised in very small town on Florida's Gulf Coast. It was a seafood town, primarily shrimp and oysters, both of which my father fished to make his living. My mother also worked in the oyster industry shucking oysters. In my early years, we had very little, but we never went hungry and always had food and a warm roof over our heads. The seafood industry is hard work and inconsistent. I have spent many years singing in church choir and other activities that were an extension of that them. Three years after my divorce, to all the people that knew me, I moved from Florida to New York City to marry my 2nd husband. The transition wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, except that people couldn't always understand my southern accent. After about six years of marriage, we adopted a pair of twin brother pugs (from Florida). Our love of them and our desire to le
